Dr Sam has been looking after my health for four years since my return to Newcastle. I have always found him to conscientious regarding my scan n test results. He has been very proactive looking out for me, picking up a cancer before it could seriously affect my health. I have always found him friendly with a very pleasant bedside manner, n willing to chat.
Likewise, I have found the staff at The Doctors to be friendly n helpful, always greeting me with a smile.

Myself and the rest of my family have been seeing Dr Sam for quite a few years now and honestly wouldn’t see another doctor. His caring approach and willingness to help his patients is second to none. If you’re in need of a good doctor then you would not be disappointed with his approach towards your health.

Rang twice to book an appointment for long time patient (91yo mum). Surgery never rang back.. Mum lives alone, can't use a mobile and doesn't have a credit card. Please explain how would any elderly person with only a landline even make an appointment with this Doctor's office when you don’t reply to messages? Is it because you only want online, paid up front bookings? What about not tech savvy elderly. Mum is still independent but of course doesn't drive. So I physically went in to book the appointment. Not impressed.

People be warned you too could charged for a long consult when in fact your consult was under 10 minutes. And then you could be blindsided at your next appt to get your test result. I had the audacity to complain about the fee charged. At my follow up appt It was not disclosed to me prior to entering the consult room that the practice manager was to be in the room because Dr Sam wanted to degrade and belittle me to justify his overcharging several days before. Disgusting and unethical behaviour from a Dr you have seen for 10 years also while you are still very sick. I kept asking for him to just give me my test results and even said I will take them to another Dr. He was a bully and even had the nerve to say to me was I trying to intimidate him and said I was yelling at him. I did not degrade him but also I did not agree with him which I think angered him. I am a loud person by nature and also partially deaf which he knows. He just kept going on and on trying to blame me and even belittle me by saying I just want my medical for free. I too was bulked billed by Sam for years and I asked a simple question when he moved into the new surgery if he could continue to bulk bill. He told me he could not and we have not spoken about that since and I pay each time I go. This behaviour would not happen in any workplace so what gives Sam the right to not advise a patient of his intentions to have a meeting at your next consult .SHAME ON YOU Sam. Maybe a better way to fix this conflict would have been a simple apology. I guess by his behaviour that he never thinks he is wrong. After being in there for some time he finally decided to print my test results and then started to tell me them in front of the practice manager without my permission .I grabbed my results and left. I received an email later that day to say I am no longer welcome at Argenton or Glendale doctors as if I would ever want to step inside there again after the trauma he caused me. Dr Sam advertisers himself as a caring doctor. What caring doctor would attack a sick patient because they had the right to question the fees charged. A caring doctor he is Not.

I recently started seeing Dr Sam after getting sick and tired of the revolving door of doctors , long wait times for appointments and lack of general care at another local medical centre.
