The pub is on the street and very welcoming.
The chicken was very nicely done and the sauce was good but soccer ball ham is a bit plain but the cheese was really good and made it a bit special. The chip were good and the serving was plentiful as was the salad ( huge) but just olive oil for dressing.

I read a few Google reviews about good pub food in Balmain and this establishment stood out, which I am glad to say did not disappoint!

The service was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The chicken tenders were exactly as stated...tender, which is not often the case in many an establishment. The chicken parmigiana was huge and juicy and the nachos did not skimp on the meat, guacamole or sour cream, so everyone in my group were more than complimentary about our experience, so well done Cricketers!!!

The Cricketer's Arms offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with great service and friendly staff. The menu has a great range on offer that seems cater to all tastes. Up there with the best in terms of the best pint of Guinness in town. Staff attentive and friendly. The new decor with pool tables out the back is great. A solid choice to watch sport on a Saturday afternoon and a MUST inclusion on any Balmain pub crawl.

I am a local and I used to love coming here. But recently it seems uncomfortable to even walk past the cricketers Arms as the creepy, drunk, old men would wave or pass a comment.

Once I entered the pub on a Sunday evening and a visibly elderly person straight up made a pass, which was quite uncalled for. So, I responded with disdain and he started using swear words. The bartender joined him and said "next time let him down gently". It was appalling for the staff to sides instead of making sure women are safe inside the pub.

I have stopped going here.
