Travelling through town. Stopped into The Club Hotel. Actually ordered kids' meals, and they were huge. Best fish & chips I've had in long time. Light crispy batter, not soaked with oil. Definitely would recommend ? ? ?

Stayed in the motel the room was clean bed comfortable very large television old style rooms has a microwave & a toaster thats handy & all the usual tea & coffee making facilities would recommend to others tarrif was reasonable handy to town the air conditioning works well lots of extra blankets & pillows

Didnt stay but can't find a place to review food. Food was good, kids meals and our meals all came out together which we appreciate as a family as we go out to eat together not have the kids wait for us to eat. Kids even got salad and ate their dinner and enjoyed it.
Service was good.
Prices are good.
A little confusing figuring out where to order etc and what door to come in, to be welcoming to travellers, maybe invest in some signs, even as simple as food this way or something.
We are actually localish and after a day of travelling was great to come home to a decent feed.

Well, I stayed for a few nights during the week. What impressed me initially was the hospitality of the staff. They were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. ||The rooms were clean, comfortable and plenty of space. My room had the usual, a kettle with coffee, tea, sugar etc, a small fridge, Colour TV, toaster etc. along with plenty of blankets and towels. ||The food at the pub was excellent. Dinner is a 6 pm, and it's cash only, but there is an ATM in the pub. Ate here every night and not once was a bad meal served. ||The pub is central to the town and everything is within walking distance. ||The only negative point was the noise in the parking area, late at night/early morning, due to it being enclosed and bounded by walls, so people closing doors and talking can echo into the rooms. ||Overall I would recommend for a long or short stay.

Title sounds a bit like a self description ? An old Pub with ancient motel rooms at the rear which were big & clean and a comfortable night was had by us. Lots of travelling tradesmen staying so a bit noisy early when the diesels kicked over but had to be up either way. The cash only dinner was very, very good and the staff all friendly. Had a good chat to the owner over a beer and I think we solved some pressing problems A little bit pricey but still a good pick !
