We bought a mango cake from here for a friend’s birthday, and unfortunately, it didn’t taste good and fell short of expectations. The sponge was so dry and so was the cream which was tasteless with an odd texture that is not very creamy.

Before I purchased the cake, I asked if the cakes were freshly made on the day, the staff informed me that “it’s not how it works here” - all their cakes contain preservatives to extend their shelf life. The expiry date was 10 days from the date I purchased the cake.

If you’re not a fan of “zombie cakes” that can sit for a while, you may want to consider other options.

Every year me and my husband bought this beesting torte for our birthdays. This is short off our favourite cake. But this year they changed recipe this cake is no longer the same test. It’s was a total disappointment as this new test is not even good, it’s mostly the cream which we can find in any cake no reason to pay $50 for this thing.

Got the strawberry fields cake for a birthday. Definitely enough for 8-10 people for approx $40. Cake tasted delicious and the staff were very friendly, prepared the cake on time and were able to write a personalised happy birthday with a name on the cake.

I recently visited your branch and had a disappointing experience. The air conditioning was off, making it uncomfortable for customers. Additionally, there were bees flying inside the store, raising hygiene concerns. The customer service was poor, and the cakes did not seem fresh and frozen compared to my previous visits.

I have enjoyed shopping at The Cheesecake Shop in the past, but this visit was quite disappointing. I would appreciate it if you could address these issues to improve the customer experience.

Yummy Cake as Usual, too bad the attention to detail and service has plummeted down.
CAKE : “Squashed” cream rosettes, “sprinkles” look like they’ve been just thrown down to cover anything that looks wrong (spilling everywhere), cake off centre on the foil tray making it hard to carry straight and remove and hitting back wall of the carrying box. “Cake” box dirty and taped up on top to prevent further tear. COMPLETE lack of of detail, cleanliness and attention.
SERVICE : Respectful but cold and sterile, making you want to just leave the place. This usually happens when you let young people “WHO” don’t want to work there cover the front counter OR when you force your kids to take over your own business , even though it looks like they hate it .
Comparing to earlier friendly service, it has changed for the worst unfortunately.
Last cake purchased here ….. time to find other friendly cake places.

I ordered a birthday cake for my friend. Linda helped me with the order and she is super lovely and kind. I’m beyond happy with the cake as well - it tasted amazing and looked just like the reference photo I showed her!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with the end result of our gender reveal cupcakes. Not only did they taste and look amazing, the customer service by Linda was superb. She was attentive, friendly and accomodating! Look forward to ordering more things from Box Hill South Cheesecake in the future.

I'vd been in this store many times and if I keep coming is because the cakes are good. The customer service is not good at all. They just seem to be in a rush all the time, not even looking at you at the face and they come back inside before you have even taken the fork.
Also, this last time I paid for a quarter and it was much less than that, the portion was smaller.
