Did a ‘City to Sea’ Tour with my mum during our trip to Wellington! Would highly recommend - a great introduction into Maori culture, history and getting up close and personal with a warrior waka, hand carved by Maori people. The staff here are knowledgeable and passionate about their cultural heritage - it’s great to see, and we had traditional hangi for lunch next door afterwards.

The place was pumping, busy but with a great positive vibe. The menu was varied and everyone ordered something different and enjoyed it. The staff were friendly if very busy.

Very relaxed, friendly place located metres away from Te Papa Museum & right next to Te Whairepo Lagoon. Food prices are very reasonable. Food includes Maori cuisine, takeaway or sit in, and they have an indoor/outdoor bar. The complex includes conference rooms, public rest rooms & houses a waka that is often used.
