We went to Taste of Philippines on a whim before settling down for a big adventure day. While my food was nice, has we not ordered rice, it would have been extremely sparse and I'd have left considerably poorer and hungry.

The flavour of the food I had was personally fantastic, but my fiance's meal was (for him) an utter disappointment. All up our dinner was nearly $90, and we didn't get a lot for our money.

Service was reasonably slow, with water provided halfway through the meal, not at the start.

I was concerned that after we left at 7:30pm, the restaurant was closed (it stated that they were open until 8:30pm on the door). This would have been extremely disappointing if we had arrived later and they were shut - so much so that we'd likely never go back thinking they had closed the business for good.

The options were good, but you don't get your money's worth for what you receive. I'd like to say I'll be coming back, but I can't say that yet. It was just far too expensive for what we received.

I wish the cafe all the best for the future because they have some great food, it's just very pricey and the opening hours mean you *really* should be open during them - otherwise, change your hours to be true.

Such delicious food!! My family recently had a birthday dinner celebration here, and the food transported us back to the Philippines - reminded me so much of home! They also cater for vegetarians and vegans (not so often you come across this, so we were all so happy!) excited to keep coming back 🙂

We ate here for the first time recently and although the meals were quite fresh and tasty, we couldn't help but ask ourselves if the prices charged were worth the meals we ate (2 simple Filo dishes). We eat at other local Asian restaurants in and around Geelong that charge $15 to $20 less (in total) for a lunch for 2 people.

We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Not having eaten Philippine cuisine before the staff took time to explain the dishes and a little bit of the heritage. Excellent dishes and friendly service. I am happy to recommend them to all.

It's easy to forget there are little pockets of Geelong that hold wonderful gems. Taste of Philippines is one of them. Tucked away in up and coming Bell Park, this little restaurant will serve up home cooked with love traditional Filipino cuisine. Now, I'm no expert in Philippine food, but I thoroughly enjoyed what I ate and the cost for what we received was excellent. Wine and beer is also very affordable, but if you are a wine connesueir, you may not be appeased. The ladies also make cakes and will soon be undergoing a month long renovation to reopen to breakfast and coffee along with the Filipino food in the evenings, along with live music on Saturdays. I can't wait!

We have been waiting over 6 months for this place to open and I am so glad they finally did. The food was absolutely amazing, portion size is great for the price and the staff are all very friendly. Definitely excited to be going back.
