Booked a cruise by Hobart Visitor Centre with Gordon River Cruises. They blame each other and the customer. What I expected was a confirmation email with the correct information. No email confirmation, printed info incorrect, I had to pay another cruise. And the manager contacted to make sure to fully blame the customer. Don’t pay anything before receiving the needed information. Make sure your questions were answered. I can only blame myself for quickly paying and trusting that a confirmation email will follow. When in trouble and calling info centre you get an answering machine. The other number on that piece of paper was a mobile from a Hobart restaurant, nothing to do with cruises. Wouldn’t be easier to send a confirmation email? But hey, that’s a proof and they can’t blame the customer. Save yourself from distasteful conversations and simply give the money to the local company DOING the job. The seat warmers from the city…The most upsetting was the conversation with the manager who wanted to be right. Be right, you saved me all futures trip plans, won’t spend anything more. There other places in the world much nicer. Then wonder why people don’t want to come and work here. Beautiful nature, geography and you wonder reading on LinkedIn why people don’t go there or stay less than planned. Got my answer, thanks

Do not embark on your travels before popping into the Hobart office! Brilliant experience, friendly and very knowledgable staff. Given personalised advice, tips and brochures. Adi pretty much planned my whole itinerary for me (tailored to my own wishes and capabilities) which was amazing! Definitely the person to talk to if you are in Tasmania for the nature and hikes. I had an incredible time as a solo traveler and I owe a lot of that to Adi and his recommendations. Thank you so much!

Knowledgeable tour of Hobart district obviously lots of walking but all very easily managed. The tour guide was careful to make sure we all kept together and crossed safely along the roads as needed.
Tour went for an hour and a half.
It was really informative and we did enjoy it. Only downside was at the end of the tour, he left us in a different spot than where we started from, nothing that Google Maps couldn’t fix for us

Called and spoke to a lovely young lass with a delightful South African accent this morning.
Her knowledge, problem solving, politeness and empathy shown was just what was needed as am planning a visit to a friends grave for first time so was a difficult conversation to have
This young lass being the first point of contact to the city of Hobart is truly amazing
Thanks again

Brad was more than competent at his job. Very thoughtful, informative and helpful in all we wanted to see and do. I feel we are going to have the best holiday now.
If I could give him more than 10 out of 10 I would.
