Thought we would try this place out on a Thursday night. Walked in and they only had a table of 12 people. We ordered and waited nearly 1hr for our food and all the while the tables around us had dirty dishes and were never removed even when we left.
What was mind blowing was they came and served us food and didn’t take away our dirty dishes 🤯.
It wasn’t until my partner pointed this out and requested if they could remove them!!

Service was slow and far from attentive. Otherwise the food was fantastic and flavours / chilli were all there. I feel for the chef. He’s being let down by very poor service which takes away all the good work they do in the kitchen.

I won’t go back. Would rather go to Marsala Corner in Wangaratta.

We were travelling back to Melbourne from Canberra and decided to stop at Tandoori Hut for dinner, going in with very low expectations. To our surprise, we were absolutely amazed by the food! We ordered Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Nawabi, chilli naan, and veg biryani, and everything was delicious. The Gobi Manchurian and Paneer Nawabi, in particular, were some of the best we've had, packed with great flavor and cooked to perfection. The chilli naan could use a bit of improvement, but the rest of the meal was outstanding. Definitely a pleasant surprise and a great place to stop if you're in the area!

We ordered lately last night, the food was tasteless compared to spices. Only chana masala was good. They deserve more for service only because they stayed extra 15 min to provide the food we ordered.

The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to recommend their favorites. They made us feel welcomed and ensured our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

I wanted to share with you my recent dining experience at Tandoori Hut Benella The food and service were absolutely delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of vegetarian dishes available, and everything was so delicious. I am definitely looking forward to coming back soon.

Fantastic flavours! Enjoyed the Palak Paneer, Chicken Madras, and the signature Lamb Kebab E Ghost. Smokey flavours in the Madras and Ghost were beautiful. The paneer was some of the nicest cottage cheese I've had. Very fresh Palak base, so good! Reasonably quick service, great stopover on the highway. Lots of space in the restaurant, it does struggle a little with atmosphere, but the food is great.

Tandoori Hut is one of the few places that do he delivery. The wait was about an hour so they must have been busy in but definitely worth the wait.

We got 3 curries and palak pakoda for starters. The palak pakoda had a sweet sauce to match which was a great match for the crunchy and slightly bitter taste.

You're able to choose the level of spice for each dish from mild, medium and spicy. We got one medium spice dish (mango chicken) which I didn't really notice a difference I. Spice level but it was tasty nonetheless.

All of the meat was tasty, cooked well and tender. The flavours of each curry were REALLY good! Plenty of flavour, variety in flavours and plenty of curry sauce.

Now I know where to go for a good Indian in Benalla. Must dine in next time!

Dear reader, the flavour profiles still lingering on my tongue from our dinner at Tandoori Hut I savour with zest. What a ripper meal! The food was outstanding, serving sizes perfect and well priced. Shout out to the Paneer Maknhi. We almost hit a kangaroo 5 minutes after, but didn’t and I think its because our driver was well-fed and level headed from the satiating and delicious meal
