We went on this cruise on 3 Dec 2024 (couple) at 3:30pm
It was well worth the time and low cost. We booked in advance.
Duration 1 hour, went up the Estuary / Harbour, and then to the Cataract Falls.
The Skipper was the guide, he was good - Thank you.
There was recorded commentary filled in various places along the way.
The Harbour was interesting and historic.
The old Bridge was worth photos and the history.
The Cataract Gorge was good to see and photograph.
Yes, well worth the experience.

We had a fantastic time on the Tamar River Cruise this afternoon! We went on the 2.5-hour cruise and really enjoyed the experience. The crew was super friendly and made us feel so welcome. A big thank you to Callum, our skipper, who shared so many interesting facts about Launceston and the area—he’s incredibly knowledgeable. Also, a huge shoutout to Josh, who looked after us so well on the boat and did an amazing job. The wine tasting was such a nice touch, and the whole trip was just beautiful. Highly recommend!

Had a great time o the 4hr Tamar River cruise. Callum behind the wheel for Tamar River Cruises, was an experienced pilot and knew all about the history and was more than willing to share what he knew. I've already recommended this to other people.

We spent a morning on the Tamar River cruise today.
Callum was really charismatic and had plenty of interesting dialogue along the way to keep us entertained. Jerome served the tea, coffee, and did the wine/beer tasting. There was a big bowl of fruit to help ourselves from too.
2 1/2 hours was a perfect amount of time.

I'm currently on the 4 hour lunch cruise. I am loving it! We payed $159 for 4 hours, which comes with, morning tea with unlimited coffee and tea, plus wine tasting, plus lunch. It's fantastic! Worth every penny. Such great value and the food is fab, fresh and abundant. I am satisfied and filled. Not to mention, the service and staff are excellent! It's our last day in Launceston and I'm glad we chose the last day for this cruise.
When you come to Launceston, get on board and book the 4 hour lunch cruise. The value is brilliant and you get a history lesson while cruising up the river.

Don't think - just book and go! Worth every cent.
We did the 4 hour Batman Bridge cruise. The commentary was fantastic - evenly spaced information throughout the duration of the cruise. Tea and coffee available throughout the entire cruise. The morning tea (muffins & cake) was fantastic - plenty of food. Lunch was really good too (delicious sandwich / rolls - plenty of toppings - really nice quality). The wine tasting was excellent. You can buy a glass of wine or beer on board if you wish to do so. There was 1 beer tasting too. A cheese and fruit platter also provided. The staff were lovely - from the booking side of things in the office all the way to the cruise staff - they provide high quality service.
I would definitely do this cruise again.
Mobility notes: two Levels. The steps going up to the top floor are quite steep. Plenty of seating downstairs as well as upstairs.
Allergy notes: when booking - ensure you mention any allergy requirements - eg gluten free or nut allergy.
Final note: don't forget to bring your own water bottle.
