A friend booked 3 families into the lodge June 2024. No issues until my friend informed the owner that I had an Integra Service Dog.

They asked for my paperwork which I supplied and then they said we could not stay and cancelled our stay as they didn’t want my dog staying at the accommodation.

We had to rush and find an alternative which we did at Tumut no problems.

I would never stay or recommend this place.

Booked the complete lodge for 5 families. And this accomodation worked perfectly for us. Big enough for all. Close to country club for dinners and close to local shops . Hop skip to the river for fishing . We basically had the town to our selves in April. Very relaxing surroundings.

Beautiful relaxing weekend. Excellent peaceful lakeside location. Rooms are comfortable and very clean and shared kitchen is bright and well equipped. New owners are super friendly and hospitable. Fun bar and yummy restaurant attached. So much fun to book out the entire house with friends.

Good rump steak meal. Great servicing size. The mushroom sauce could have more depth of flavour. Nice place to have dinner overall. They gave us a free taste of the cheesy garlic bread and it was so delicious.

This is the best place to organize for group bookings.
We booked out the entire accommodation and had a blast.
The rooms were spacious and the beds were nice and comfy. We had a family room which has a double bed and bunk beds. Each bed has electric blankets along with a heater and air con in the room. There was also a mini fridge. Our view from our room was really pretty which you can see in my pics.
Looks like it has been recently painted through out with new carpet. Everything was lovely and clean and smelt nice and fresh. There was some beautiful art work of Brumbies hanging up around the lodge.
The hosts were very helpful and offered suggestions for where to go during the day. We went to the caves which were awesome and also a thermal pool.
The scenery surrounding the lodge is so beautiful. It is tranquil with lots of bird life. We went for morning walks along the water and couldn't get over how beautiful it is.
There is a small shopping complex right next door to the lodge. A small corner store which I think sold alcohol, a cafe, post office etc. It was small but very handy.
It is extremely well priced here and we cant wait to organize another group to come again.

Staff were lovely and very friendly. Not a lot of beers on tap, but it is my understanding it has recently (only a matter of days) reopened after being closed for quite some time. They do have a selection of beers, ciders and ginger beers in bottles. Very cold. Very good. But I'm going to be honest most the 4 stars of this review is down to the pool table. It's free. It rolls true and they even have a straight que to play with. Awesome! I arrived too late for the kitchen so idk what the food is like but the atmosphere was great, wood fire, beer was cold and the pool table was a cracker. Would recommend.

Really impressed with the lodge and the hosts..

We had a rental EV and it was using far more battery than advertised. Forrtunately the Lodge had a charger and was more than happy for us to plug in for an hour or so to top up our battery.

They wouldn't take any money for the charge so we had a lovely dinner and a drink (great food at very reasonable prices) and then headed back on our way home.

The new owners are lovely, they're doing a great job on what is a beautiful and interesting old building. Exactly what the town needs!

We'll definitely be back!
