I have travelled with Lyn & John on several of their adventures & I can assure you, wonderful adventures they have been. No matter what the destination, their itineraries are carefully researched to maximise the experience - physically & culturally. By using local guides, one is able to learn so much about the country & its people as well as learning about customs & the local food. All this while walking & travelling through some of the most stunningly beautiful places on earth. I recommend their trips to anyone who enjoys getting physical & exploring new & challenging destinations.

I first joined one of John and Lyn Daly’s adventure trips ten years ago. What I experienced then was a fun, caring, adventurous culture that I loved so much that I have completed 12 of their official trips! I have another two trips booked with them this year and I am not the only repeat traveller.....there are many of us who return time and time again.
Because of their huge repeat custom, they add new and exciting destinations each year and always use local operators who can provide those ‘real’ experiences that I, as an adventure traveller, so enjoy!
John and Lyn are passionate, caring and fun people who love what they do. I would absolutely recommend their trips to anyone who loves a decent hike, adventure and comraderie along the way.

I had such an awesome trip with John and Lyn to Wyoming, USA. I experienced fantastic walks which I would have never dreamed of or would have been able to find! John and Lyn are so welcoming and take the time to listen and consider what each person would like to get out of the trip.....I was able to see Jenny Lake in the Grand Teton National Park! I have made lovely new friends via "Take A Walk Adventures" and I am always drooling and dreaming of far off adventures when I receive their newsletter of upcoming trips. If you are looking for great value, great people and amazing places...."Take a Walk" with John, Lyn and their fellow travellers.

Take a Walk Adventures seem to have found the right balance for Betty and myself with their overseas trips. We are keen bushwalkers so we like a small challenge occasionally as well as the cultural interactions with the people in the countries we visit. Their trips offer well thought out itineraries with great day walks and some hut to hut walking, giving a range of experiences. They incorporate some little gems such as the lesser known attractions known only to the locals as well as the must see and do iconic locations.
John and Lyn use knowledgeable local guides, stay in central locations that are not overpriced and allow us enough freedom to venture out for some of our own evening meals. It is not just all about walking. The itineraries are flexible enough to cater to a range of abilities and to allow options to sit out a day for a rest if need be, shop occasionally or wander the streets and do our own thing in the cities we pass through.
Betty and i have been joining at least one of the Take a Walk Adventures each year for the last 4 years. The trips are well organised, group size is small and manageable and once minimum numbers are reached the cost of the trip actually begins to decrease as more people sign up. How good is that!
John and Lyn are both very personable and caring. They are still enthusiastic walkers and revel in taking people to interesting places around the world. As a very small family enterprise they actually get to know us as people rather than clients and can identify our particular interests on their trips. They are fun to be with, enjoy a laugh and good conversation.
I couldn't recommend Take a Walk Adventures more highly and hope they keep taking us to unique places on our 'bouquet list' for many years to come.
Our trips include - China, Utah (USA), Greece and Crete, Norway.

Memories are permanently embedded in my mind as I reflect the past 9 years trekking with John and Lyn through 8 different countries. Each has it's own unique treks, stunning Scenery plus many hidden Treasures to be enjoyed while being exposed to different ways of life and cultures.
Passionate Local Guides "Love'" to share their depth of knowledge with the group while out experiencing each new day. Often the Guides go beyond the call of duty to "Show" Special features of their homeland.
Attention to detail is a "Must Do" with each Itinerary as John and Lyn diligently research and seek out the best features while working to make these adventures affordable.
It only take one trekking adventure to start planning the next Country to visit. The hardest decisions are 'Which one" and "When" with Australia's own Take A Walk Adventures.
