We had a lovely experience at Taj Agra - Belconnen. We tried the chicken biryani with raita, chicken 65, and onion bhaji – all of which were delicious and full of flavor. The biryani was perfectly spiced, and the raita balanced it well. The chicken 65 was crispy and tasty, while the onion bhaji was fresh and crunchy.

Super surprised reading some of the negative reviews on here.

This is our absolute favourite Indian restaurant in Canberra. We try to come here at least once a month and have never left disappointed.

We usually order a banquet for two and the food just gets better every time.

Service is great, there is one waitress in particular that just shines in positive energy (sorry have forgotten her name, but will ask her at our next visit).

A big shout out to the team at Taj Agra Belconnen for hosting such a lovely event for us. We had a buffet style set up, the food was plentiful, and extremely tasty (flavours were divine, the variety was great), and everyone who attended could not stop talking about how good of a time they had. The venue was well styled and the service provided by the team was prompt and attentive. Overall it was an outstanding service and food!

We will definitely be returning for future events and suggest anyone who is interested in hosting a big event to reach out to Taj Agra Belconnen!

Some vegan friends of ours love this restaurant and whenever we have joined them there for a meal (quite a few times now) it has been very pleasant. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the food delicious. Ask for ‘mild’ curry even if you like a little heat. The ‘medium’ is actually a little too much heat for me. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. Licensed but also BYO.

Visited Tag Agra outlet in Belconnen for dinner.
The staff at the entrance was very friendly. The staff who took the order was very friendly.
Ordered plain nan, butter nan, butter chicken, beef vindaloo and entree tandoori platter.

All the dishes were good including the butter chicken. The nans were good.
The beef vindaloo was slightly sour but good.
There are plenty of vegetarian options.
Overall a good experience.

Food was not freshly cooked. We ordered Chicken tikka masala & Goat Curry; Chicken was somehow cooked but goat meat was undercooked. Staff was good, maybe because of strict owner supervision that day. Owner was sound stingy when complaint about small portion of mains were served.
