We planned and booked our first major family international trip with Sylvania Travel & Cruise. The experience was brilliant. Nothing was too hard and the way the team accommodated our requests was great. Unfortunately COVID-19 hit and we were unable to take our planned holiday. We received refunds where possible and the fees from Sylvania Travel & Cruise were expected and warranted given the amount of work that went into the planning.
The communication was good and at an expected level given the turmoil they are experiencing.
Yes you can book cheaper yourself, but you will not get the advice, experience and compassion a business like Sylvania Travel & Cruise offers for regions of the world you have never been to.
We will book with them again once the world settles down again.

I had the trip of a lifetime booked with Sylvania Travel & Cruise to Europe in July. The travel arrangements were cancelled due to the current pandemic. I was out of pocket by tens of thousands of dollars for a trip I could not take. The girls at Sylvania Travel & Cruise were a great support to me emotionally and their level of service and professionalism in such horrible trying times resulted in me receiving as much refund back as possible plus some Future Travel Credits. They worked relentlessly to provide me with my options, negotiated with the suppliers on my behalf and consulted with me on the best course of action available as the situation progressed and the suppliers kept changing their policies. I don't know what I would have done without their support and expertise, yes I lost some money but who hasn't in this horrible situation. Thankyou to all you girls in the office , in particular my consultant Kim Adcock, I will be back to book when the world gets better.

I had an awesome experience with the team at Sylvania travel & cruise. Every last detail was planned perfectly and nothing was ever too much trouble. The girls had extensive knowledge about our holiday destinations and gave us many tips which were helpful. It was very easy and worry free for us. I highly recommend this team of professionals.

It's very well getting positive reviews for holidays of a lifetime but its when things turn sour that a business shows it's true colours.
My family put a repeat booking of a big holiday for 8 people to Thailand we'd previously made through Sylvania Travel back through them. Covid hit and we weren't able to take the holiday.
Sylvania Travel were instructed not to cancel the holiday as we knew they would deduct all their costs, which we'd have to pay again when we rebooked it, but to put the tickets on hold. However they went ahead and cancelled, contrary to our request, and deducted full fees for every person and every ticket, around a $1000 for a holiday we couldn't take.
When we tried to reach a reasonable deal with them they informed us that Sylvania travel 'wouldn't be in business in 6 weeks', sadly they just took our money and ran.

I have used Sylvania Travel for the last 5 years. It feels like forever not just 5 years. Lisa and Sally and all the girls are brilliant! Very knowledgeable and efficient. Lisa has put some amazing trips together for us. We wouldn't use any other company

Several mistakes along the way including no hotel voucher and a failure to book return seating on our nominated flight back home. There were three seats left on the flight which were ours by default; all separate and some distance apart. This was not going to work with a special needs son involved and must thank Hawaiian Airlines for at least organising my wife and son to sit together
We received an apology and an offer to take $200 off our next booking provided we book within the next 13 months. No worries guys - your $200 is safe.

We recently travelled to South America. The whole trip was planned and organised by Sylvania Travel & Cruise. They recommended that we use a specialist SA tour organiser that did add some extra cost but at the same time made the trip much more enjoyable. Everything went to plan the drivers and tour guides were great, sharing their extensive knowledge of their respective countries. Great team that did an excellent job coordinating a complex itinerary for us. Our agent changed during the process of us planning our trip but there were no problems arising from the handover. Will use them again and recommend to other travellers.
