This is the second time we've stayed at Sunbird and it hasn't disappointed. We stayed in a Superior Ocean View room both times. The apartments are spacious with the added bonus of an ensuite and walk in robe in the main bedroom. We've been lucky enough to stay on the 18th and 21st floors and the view is amazing. Unfortunately there have been a couple of buildings gone up in the last 2 years that impact the view a bit, but there is still plenty of ocean view to be admired. We saw whales every day from our balcony plus the odd pod of dolphins cruising past and the sunrises are next level.
The heated indoor pool and spa are amazing, and the tennis court allows for a bit of fun.
Location is excellent as you have the laid back vibe of Main Beach but you are a short bus/tram ride or 25 minute walk to Surfers.
Michelle in reception deserves a shout out as well, she's super friendly if you have time for a chat.

We loved this resort. Big apartment with the rooms far back down a hall from the lounge, nice and quiet with teenagers! Place was super clean, well sound proofed. Right by the beach with balcony looking at the ocean.
Has a great pool and bbq area and then inside a massive spa which was the perfect temp (I’m a spa fan and it was amazing!)
Close to shops, has secure underground parking. Manager was super nice and helpful (Michelle). Will come back
That indoor spa (in photos) would be amazing in winter!

Don't stay at this hotel this is the worst hotel u can ever stay in I won't go into detail but we got down there for the weekend and left the same night to go to q different hotel there was bugs 🪲🪲 things bitting u from the lounge my daughter was so red and had marks on her from it the hotel did not care and would not offer a refund don't stay here

The location is ideal for families. Main Beach is a quiet area in Gold Coast but it is close to shopping and other activities.
Sunbird Beach Resort is located right on the beach with just one road to cross to get to a patrolled beach. This is a major safety factor.
The building has been here for many years, but it has had major renovations (some ongoing) which keep it up to a good standard.
Underground parking, beach side, great views, great location great facilities and secure entry, what more could you want?
Our unit was vlean comfortable and homely.
The managers were very helpful and friendly and we look forward to coming back again.

We enjoyed beautiful views from Level 10. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. However the carpets, in my opinion , need shampooing and the furniture needed to be dusted. I would suggest more attention to detail. The staff were friendly and helpful.
