Very clean and tidy. The view of the lake and its amazing sunsets was incredible! Kids loved the games room. Had everything we needed and more for a relaxing stay. It was extra special because we could have our fur baby with us. Have already booked for next year. Paul’s communication was timely and helpful. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful B&B. It not only overlooks the most wonderful view of Lake Bonney, it is also very homey, clean and has a calming atmosphere. It is obvious that a lot of love and consideration has been put into setting up this house with the little touches that add to the decor inside and out. It's a fabulous place for a quiet, peaceful rest or to accommodate a family. Fancy even considering a games room! The welcoming gift of local produce was a lovely surprise. I will definitely be recommending this little place to others.

We had a lovely stay at the pelican retreat, it was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our family holiday.
The kids loved counting all the pelicans at the property, there was also lots of activities to keep the kids entertained.
The view of the lake was stunning especially at sunset, and it was a very quiet spot to listen to the birds with a cuppa out on the front porch.

A group of four, and some dogs had the very best time at Pelican retreat!

The whole place is excellent! Inside, there’s everything you need for a comfortable get away… Outside is lovely - safe and secure for your fur friends, and would be great for a BBQ!! (We didn’t remember to order good weather…oops!)

We look forward to coming back and some further adventures in Barmera!

Just spent a couple of nights here in the Pelican Retreat and absolutely enjoyed it. The place was lovely and clean and has everything you need. The beds are so comfy and I'm usually really fussy about pillows, but whatever ones they use, were amazing! I need to get myself some for home.

We had perfect weather while we were there and loved sitting on the front porch enjoying a nice glass of the complimentary wine while watching the sunset over the lake. What more could you ask for...? We will definitely be back!

Loved our stay at Pelican retreat! Very relaxing & peaceful. Neat, tidy & well equipped, Paul & Leanne have put thought & effort into ensuring little touches are made to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable. The best thing about the stay is watching the sunset from the front verandah. Just spectacular!

When you travel with a dog its difficult to find suitable and welcoming accommodation but this place is asolutely excellent. Enclosed yard and right on the lake front for walks let alone watching the sunsets! The welcome treats are a nice touch. That includes the local wine that is perhaps ) from a wine snobs point of view,) surprisingly a very nice drop

The good - Cottage was clean and well equiped. Rooms were a good size and beds were comfy.
The bad - The squeaky floors were really bad. If you got up in the middle of the night it would wake your partner. Being told that we had to strip the bed before we left? If we wanted to use the outdoor heater we had to take the cylinder to the servo and pay to have it refilled ourselves? Lastly some decent tea towels that actually dried would be good. We know you are wanting a 5 star rating but unfortunately with the above mentioned issues, it's not a 5.
