Very friendly staff member on check in. Large caravan park has everything you need, not too packed in even though all powered sites were booked. They charged my card before arrival for full amount, so I guess you need to make sure funds are in the bank account you book with in advance, but anyway it was really good value ($55/night Easter), nice trees and many acres, fairly flat site, very large for van and car, and we were last to book powered site. Did not need to book all 4 nights at Easter, we stayed 2. Nice shower block, hot showers, nice laundry with sink for dishes near my caravan site.

We recently stayed here and we had no problems with fellow tourist / permanents. The park has not a blade of grass in sight except outside office, it is very very dry. Their website boasts that they have a pool which you relax by, it was not operational and appears to be in need of a lot of work, modern laundry facilities yes they are very cheap ($2) they are by no means modern and I did not see any of the “toys and sports equipment”. They do have free wifi which was very reliable. The bins were always overflowing (we stayed 5 nights) and depending on when you went to the toilet dictated if they had toilet paper available. Amenities were very dated and in need of major updating,I can’t comment on showers as I used our caravan ensuite. Yes sites are on the bigger side and park is very spacious but in saying this we always had people park up next to us even though there were lots of sites available (I don’t believe this to be parks fault as when we arrived we were given free choice of our site). Yes there are some dodgy looking people staying there but we had no problems. Would I stay here again probably not.

Under no circumstances should anyone stay in the Stawell Park Caravan Park at anytime for any reason.
I booked a cabin in Aug 2024 for Jan 2025. Arrived to find they no longer had my booking, and nearly a month later I still have not received a refund despite requesting it 10 times.
It was later in the afternoon when we arrived there hot and tired, to be told they did not have our booking, though they were able to call up the booking emails which they had responded to with confirmations. We then had to try to find alternative accommodation - Stawell was full of fire management staff as the Grampians fires were still alight. We managed to get the last room at Stawell Motel, kudos to Kirrilee, the manager, what a legend. Highly recommend this motel for accommodation.
Driving into the Stawell Park Caravan part was like a scene from Camp Deliverance. Rubbish and junk everywhere, everything looked really rundown and dirty, nothing like the photos on the website - misleading information. All in all it was a really, really bad experience - with the benefit of hindsight I should have read other reviews. Lesson well learnt now.
My advice - just don't.

Warning! Avoid this caravan park at all costs! Our experience was simply infuriating. We had a confirmed booking and paid a deposit, yet just two days before our arrival, they claimed they didn’t have our reservation. Friends faced the same nightmare! We received no refund, no explanation, no communication. It’s clear the owners are just in it for the money and couldn’t care less about their customers. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to stay!

Simple van park, as said previously the amenities block is not verry well maintained with spider webs and broken tpas etc. The whole site was awfully old and dry. The caravan park in stawell is preferable to stay at. One possitive the site is quiet

We had a powered site for our van. Grounds could be a little cleaner but new owners have only had park for 12 months. Workings in progress. Well done

Be very carefull, despite what they say, it's the worst park in the region. I lived and worked there for several years. It used to be a pleasant bush setting untill crooked managers let the matainenance go and started to let the riff raff in. The park is a place of last resort for the broken and homeless of the area. There are a couple of alcoholics and several druggies living there. The new management have no idea who's who and what actually goes on there. The Grampian Gate caravan park in town is a much safer and cleaner place to stay.

After being denied a site at another park in Stawell we back-tracked to one we had passed earlier in the day.|The owner was friendly and most obliging. He allowed us to choose our site.|This park was not the flashiest place, as the park has very sandy soil, so did not have lush grass.|The amenities are not new, but were extra clean - there was even a vase of fresh flowers on the vanity bench. A lovely touch.|We had intended to spend just one night in Stawell, but because of the way were were greeted and treated we stayed an extra night.|Don't even try the other park unless you have booked on line.|Just go straight to this park.
