A fabulous experience. I hired a paddle board for an hour for a mere 30 dollars. A great relaxing place, and minimal waves because you just paddle around the harbour.

These guys are the loveliest, so chill, so helpful, funny and engaging.

We came down to rent boards to practice for a paddle component of a CrossFit comp, so didn’t do their guided tour, but they were responsive to text as we coordinated and easy going, all ready to go when we got there at 9.

If you haven't as yet tried Stand Up Paddle boarding (also know as SUP or Supping) then you must and there's no better place to try it out than at St Kilda beach. Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ operate there right on Pier Road, in front of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club, so you can hire a board and all the equipment you need, and paddle away.

You can also have group or private lessons if need be. Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ operate their SUP school there and they are skilled and passionate about supping and they will help you learn the correct technique and master the sport.

Not only is this sport great for general and core fitness (great for strengthening your core back) through strength and balance exercise, at the same time you'll have lot of fun in the water. Paddling among the beautiful yachts and the sea life, even with penguins visible swimming underneath your paddle board is a lot of fun.

I could not speak highly enough of our entire experience. Vincent made us feel very welcome and his instruction on paddle boarding were first class. Both myself and my partner were standing up in no time in no small part to the excellence of his tuition. The location is fantastic for beginners, easy access by car or public transport and the waters calm. Highly recommended - we will be back!

Highly recommend! This was my first time trying SUP and I’ll definitely be doing this again. Kyle was a great instructor and gave everyone enough attention so that we knew what we’re doing and felt safe. Vincent brought so much passion and enthusiasm and made the experience so much fun. We saw the penguins at the pier and the amazing city views from the bay. Absolutely loved it.
