I have just returned home after 5 nights stay at St Vincents Private Hospital. I was so grateful for the kind, thoughtful and in every way professional and expert attention I received from the nurses and other staff. Special mention to Larraine, Mollie, Nieve and Carol and to the others working on level 8 whose names I didn't get. A huge thank you to all of you wonderful people. God bless you.

I had an unexpected overnight stay at St Vincent’s Private after a day surgery. The nurses were rude, unresponsive (I had to call main reception to get someone to help me get up after my call button went unanswered for 30 minutes), and insensitive. After I let a nurse know I was frustrated and upset that my calls kept going unanswered for extended periods of time I was told I was “not a priority”. I was uncomfortable and distressed for the entirety of my stay. Upon discharge my wounds weren’t checked, I was given no instructions and had to walk myself out to the front despite struggling to walk. Seriously appalling experience.

I had a recent stay at SVPH (my second stay in 7 years) The nursing staff on Level 10 were EXCEPTIONAL in the quality of their care, friendliness, efficiency in attending to my needs, and their knowledge of my condition.

Here come the real issue " )

The Hospital is good, clean, well organise and everything went smooth and on time .
the stuff were really nice, welcoming, clear communication yet very productive and efficient .
Super nice, caring and helpful with warm heart - the nurse " Melissa " .
super duper is my Knee surgeon Dr Roger Brighton that have done amazing job .
His assistant just before the surgery was super warm. was looking to my eyes and made me so calm . forgot her name .

and for the best - Sonia in his reception . ( will give her credit on Dr Roger Brighton page ) .
I will share with you some other things that you might want to consider :
In short about me Im from abroad, alone in here, with fifty fifty english .
1- D'r Stuart Lawrie - was trying to play with my vains ( fit guy with super good vains, that each time with anyone is on the first try go smooth ) and he tried on 4 diffrent spots that hurt me before he actually went into the normal vain that everyone is going there at first shot .
when i asked him why didnt you go there first ? - " because in hospital they might need to move your arm a lot . " - for your concern my surgery was 15 minutes on my knee . so i dont know his plan .. but maybe i dont know something and happy to get respond from him .
in addition to that - I'H heard that he gave me 10 mg which is way more then what he should have give me . but i dont know anything about that ...

Here come the real issue
1- Nurse was harsh and not caring . - Collete .
2- Hospital system to kick you ASAP . literally kick .
now ill explain :
3- D'r Stuart Lawrie - didn't do smooth pleasant job .
I was super tired , really tired couldnt stop sleeping .
i wake up 3 hours after the surgery and since then they started to wake me up every 15 minutes telling me that i need to leave soon .
I know the name of the nurse that she was there - but i dont think its her decision or fault so i wont name her .
thats not ending there - the nurse ( Collette ) was shaving my knee fast, painful and not evenly ( like just super random without even care ) seriously to my dog i will care more .
when i asked her to slow down that its painful she laughed at me .
i mean for me i rather do it myself ...
to mention Collete for good - she offered me at the end to stay 15 minutes longer to have more rest .
she was very organise, and she had a lot of job to do there, she treated her stuff with kindness and she cared for the genrall space with random stuff that bothered her that improved the all enviroment .

This was a most excellent experience my heart valve repair was quick, best cardiologist, best surgeon, anesthetist great. Better than 5 star hotel, all staff nurses, staff, even the food was great, cannot say much more most highly recommend.

Good food and service from the “slaves” but the powers that be evicted me a day too early for my liking. I was recovering from a nano knife and a prostate partial removal. I was admitted on a Monday morning and discharged on Wednesday afternoon .
