We have recently returned from a fortnight holiday to Victoria and the ACT. Our original plans were thrown out due to the devastating bush fires and we had to plan another route. This resulted in staying 3 nights at Spa Villas on Main. We booked the smaller of the spaces, Elm, and really enjoyed ourselves. Though compact, it had all you need and we enjoyed a lovely spa, snacks, drinks and cooked ourselves a yummy meal one night. It is walking distance to everything in Hepburn Springs and we could have stayed much longer. One afternoon we decided to watch a DVD (they had an extensive DVD collection for us) but there was an issue with the remote control, it stopped working. I rang the contact number and left a message. In a short while I received a call from one of the owners, Alice, who offered to purchase a universal remote and drop it around later that day. Sure enough, she did and also brought us a lovely bottle of wine as a gift. The next morning she rang us and said, in acknowledgement of the DVD inconvenience and the fact we had had to alter our travel plans due to the fires, that she would like to upgrade us on our last night to the spacious Oak Studio for no charge. This was a lovely surprise and we certainly enjoyed our 24 hours there immensely. Lots of room, a comfy king sized bed, beautiful spa and lovely balcony to sit, eat, drink and watch the world go by! This is a special place in a special town and Alice was a very kind and thoughtful person who made sure we had a lovely time.

Perfect location only a 3km or 10 min drive from Daylesford with the Blue Bean Cafe across the road for a hearty breakfast with other dining options within walking distance. Stayed for 3 nights in The Oak Studio which was spotless! The beds were very comfortable and the lounge area was quite spacious. The welcome basket with local produce was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the birch villa for 3 days and 2 nights. The welcome hamper was a great surprise. The spa was the highlight and fit 2 people comfortably. We were missing robes but the owner was very quick to respond and provided clean robes within 20 mins. The location was great too as it was across the road from the Mineral Spa facility were my partner and I enjoyed our spa treatments, and down the road from the Hepburn Springs reserve. if the split system was a bit more effective in heating the room during our stay would have definitely given a five out of five stars, but overall a pleasant stay.

A total of six nights were recently spent in the cosy, private Elm Studios Villa at Hepburn Springs. From the moment of entering, you are most impressed by the tasteful decor and quality furnishings. A delightful hamper, full of locally sourced produce, including a bottle of Hepburn Spa mineral water is a wonderful, welcoming introduction to what this beautiful region of Victoria has to offer. |The villa is ideally located off the main road, offers off-road parking, a fully equipped kitchen with quality crockery, air-con, Wi-Fi, a wonderful spa bath and a very comfortable Queen bed. |The Blue Bean Cafe is directly across the road (breakfast there was a delight!), and Daylesford is only a short car ride southward. |We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this studio as a base for short interludes, and touring this remarkable area.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The kitchen is fairly well equipped but for longer stays you'll either need to eat out a lot or do groceries every couple of days as they only have a bar fridge. The place we stayed was cozy and romantic and the spa bath was amazing! The only real negative for me is the bloody skylight. Great for natural light when you want it, but no way to shut it when you want a sleep in. Otherwise, a pretty good little stay.

We spent two nights in the Oak Villa which faces the street and has off street parking at the door. The villa is clean and beautifully appointed with large comfortable king size bed. A small welcome basket, enough for one day only, of muesli, tea, coffee, long life milk, mineral water and a few sweets was appreciated. It’s a short walk to the pleasant Hepburn Mineral Spa reserve which is at the end of the street opposite. There is a cafe across the street but unfortunately for us it was closed both days we were there. It would have been helpful to have an information booklet noting what local eateries are recommended and their opening times/locations. ||||The reason for the lack of perfect score is there is a window in the kitchen area which does not have a night blind. There is an opaque one for a bit of privacy but does nothing to stop the bright sunshine from waking you in the morning! The unit is open from kitchen/living area to bedroom - there is no door to separate them. This may also be a problem if you are sharing with people other than family and want privacy. ||||A proper block out blind will address the lack of sleep quality. In the meantime we suggest you travel with suitable eye mask! Other than waking at first light this was a beautiful place to stay. It’s next door to Peppers Hotel in great location.

We stayed in the Birch Apartment for 2 nights. It was warm, spacious and with lots of lovely extras we really appreciated. A beautiful spa bath, lots of dvds and games and just around the corner from the springs walk and the main street with restaurant and cafe options.||Would recommend to any travellers; a lovely spot!

My husband and I stayed in Birch Villa last weekend and to say we were beyond disappointed is an understatement. In fact, after only one night out of two, we left as soon as we could as we could not stand spending the 2nd night. ||We arrived late in the evening and initially felt quite surprised by the reality of the place after looking at the photos and thinking it looked lovely. The reality was a dated, very tired and in need of a good revamp apartment. The biggest disappointment came when we went to bed to find that a supposed King Bed was in fact 2 single beds pushed together. There was no mattress topper which meant that there was a big chasm down the middle of the bed. ||The morning light did not shine a better view, in fact only showed it’s true colours. The window sills were cracked and in need of a clean. The leather couch was old and cracked. The bathroom was clean but very old and smelt musty. The shower head barely let any water out it was so old and the taps came off in your hand! ||The piece de résistance was a dead fly on the carpet near where our suitcases were. ||We got out of there quick smart and headed up to Hotel Frangos which was beautifully clean, modern and had a bed that didn’t come apart! ||For the first weekend away after 19 months in lockdown Spa Villas on Main was bitterly disappointing.
