We had a wonderful 2-day private tour of the great ocean road with Julien. He picked us up at our hotel in a very comfy van and off we went exploring beaches and the Otway National park with magnificent rainforests and falls. We stopped at picturesque coastal towns for lunches and breaks and saw the Twelve Apostles on the second day which were spectacular. One of my favorite activities was looking for koalas and kangaroos in the wild. We travel extensively but I have to say that Julien stands out as a guide - charming (he’s French), very informative, great sense of humor, and focused on giving you a great experience. It was a treat to stay at a Bed and Breakfast overnight and get a flavor of local life. Don’t hesitate to book a trip with Julien or someone at his company. I’m sure they are all great !

We have spent a wonderful time in Melbourne with Alice. She is a great guide - French which helps ! 🙂 - with in depth knowledge of the city. We have seen many things we would have missed otherwise. Her friendship, attitude and passion for Melbourne have made our visit deligthful. Thanks to her will to share her personal experience, we also had very interesting conversations about the australian culture, the melbournians and the overall way of life in Australia. As such this tour has been a real deep dive into what Australia is on top of discovering the usual buildings and the history related to them. Should you wish to enjoy but also to go above and beyond the usual historical city tour, I would strongly recommend to call Southern Secrets Personalised Tours ... a well chosen name that perfectly describes the company !

Wir hatten eine Stadtbesichtigung Melbourne über unseren deutschen Reiseveranstalter Karawane bei Southern Secrets gebucht. Dem deutschen Veranstalter hatte ich meine Fussverletzung mitgeteilt, was die aber nicht interessiert hat - 3 Stunden Fußlauf durch die Arkaden sollte ich machen. Objektiv unmöglich! Zudem waren 40 Grad in Melbourne angesagt ...

Unser Guide, Patricia, hat sich auf diese Situation optimal eingestellt. Sie hat uns ad hoc mit ihrem Privatwagen gefahren und an diverse sehenswerte Lokationen gebracht. Wir haben über Street-art nicht nur viel erfahren, sondern auch gesehen. Herzlichen Dank, Patricia! Patricia hat eine Stunde dran gehängt und uns ein rund-um-Paket geliefert - mehr war wirklich nicht zu erwarten.

Diese Stadtbesichtigung war ein Highlight unserer sonst manchmal enttäuschenden Tour durch Australien. Patricia hat ein absolut profundes Wissen über Melbourne und kann das auch auf deutsch vermitteln. Der/die optimale Guide für alle, die sich mit dem australischen Englisch schwer tun. 100% Empfehlung!
