This is an information centre in a large modern building, with good toilets and a couple of cafes. There is a lookout with sweeping views of the coastline below. Good amount of free parking. Easy access in and out from the highway. Everything is nice and clean. We had our dog with us, there is outdoor seating and so we were able to buy lunch and eat it there.

what a lovely lookout point. overlooking the ocean and Wollongong. ample parking.

however, my experience was tarnished by staff at the cafe that was incredibly dismissive and rude. after I found that they provide halal food, I was so excited to try it! I didn't know about it prior. However, I saw they advertised it on the menu. With excitement , I was trying to order some breakfast, but unfortunately, the chef wasn't in yet. this was 9.30 am. I was absolutely fine with this, but the guy was so rude about it for no reason?

The most beautiful views, amazing food at the cafe and extremely friendly staff at the cafe as well as in the visitor centre. We had the calamari salad and it was a perfect combination of flavours with a good hit of spice as well. Would definitely recommend!

Make sure you check the route on the gps when arriving,
Lots of quick turns , one way , and intersections,
Bit confused , might end up at the bottom of the water front and come all the way back up ,,

Gelato Emporium – A Great Highway Stop for Coffee or Brunch

Gelato Emporium is a fantastic spot to take a quick break during your drive, whether you’re craving coffee or a light brunch.

The team is friendly, and the service is excellent. The space is spacious, making it a comfortable place to relax and stretch your legs.

As for the food, it’s nothing extraordinary—just decent enough for a quick stop. We mainly visited to take a break from driving, and it served that purpose well.

What stands out the most is the ambience. The location is scenic, with beautiful views of the ocean and the Bellambi-Wollongong area. It’s worth stopping by for the views alone!

A truly lovely, peaceful lookout with Cafe, restaurant, gift shop and clean amenities.
We've been here twice, the view is stunning on a clear day.
We've eaten at both the restaurant and the Cafe and browsed the gift shop.
It's peaceful and unhurried here, though it is busy.
