A fantastic collection of aircraft from Australia's past, featuring an F/A-18A Hornet and a F-111C. The staff are welcoming and often eager to share insights about their restoration projects or even give tours of the facility. There are plenty of attractions for kids, including photo opportunities and small plane-shaped karts for toddlers to be pushed around in. Many aircraft have stairs for climbing aboard, allowing you to see some of the planes' inner workings. Helpful videos are displayed on screens throughout, along with a missile aim skill tester. You can easily spend over an hour enjoying the diverse offerings.

A lovely museum with lots of planes across 2 hangers. The volunteers have done a great job here and give you a map showing which planes you can climb aboard. A few you can also sit in the cockpit of. I spent about an hour here and was like a big kid in a candy store. If you enjoy aviation and planes this is a great place to visit.

A truly impressive display of immaculate aircraft. There aren’t many places in Australia, let alone the rest of the world, where you can get up close with these types of aircraft AND in the great condition they are. A must visit for anyone with even a passing interest in civil or military aviation in Australia.

The SA Aviation Museum is a wonderful place to visit for families and all those interested in the history of Australian aviation. The hangars are well set out and information boards describe the exhibits in easy to follow language.

The volunteer staff are only too happy to chat and explain features of various exhibits and talk about the restoration work they undertake in the workshop area. The shop is full of good presents to buy for not only the younger ones, but also older aviation enthusiasts.

A top museum for you to visit if you travel down to the Port Adelaide.

Oh my, I took my client here for a day outing after getting recommended by a few friends, don't miss the small driveway down to the hangers. But my God, the volunteering men who run this venue hats off to you. I could not fault the display, interactions, the staff, it was spotless and everything thought of. All I can say is I can't wait to see the newly renovated planes. $15 entry is amazing value even for someone who knew nothing about planes.

I’m glad I visited this museum on the weekend. It's a popular spot and a great place to bring kids. You can see many unique planes, most of which are well-preserved, and some you can even enter and explore. The museum grounds have recently been upgraded with a larger parking area, making it more convenient for visitors. The best part is the friendly volunteers who are always eager to share interesting information about the exhibits. Overall, it's a fun and educational outing, and I highly recommend it for a weekend visit!
