We loved the experience and atmosphere staying in this beautiful accommodation.
It's very special to stay in Barracks originally built by convicts and to take in the history.

Stayed 2 nights with family including a toddler and grandparents. Enjoyed the historic decorations, furniture and comfortable beds.
Exceptional hospitality, Terry responded immediately to all my phone calls, text messages and emails. I really appreciated the personal handwritten notes from Terry and Lynn in the welcome basket.

We do think that some handrails attached to wall on stairs could be useful.

I have stayed at Sorell Barracks several times, including last month. I love the place. It's very comfortable, clean, close to the airport, and quiet. It's an historical heritage listed place, and it feels very special to step in time in the lovely rooms. The owners Terry & Lynn and very friendly and helpful. I'm hoping to stay there again next year.

This place was a wonderful find. We were looking to find somewhere close to the Airport as we had an early start the next day - it was perfect. We had up upstairs apartment, and some people may find the stairs a bit of a challenge - they were very steep. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, and the welcome note from the owners was a lovely touch. We ate at a local Indian restaurant that night, which was also excellent. We would happily stay there again. Thank you.

Spent 2 nights in the top storey apartment / loft of these barracks built in 1827. Beautifully furnished with historic furniture and fittings.
Well appointed , warm and very friendly feeling throughout.
Hosts friendly and helpful with local guidance. Great location to visit historic Richmond and Port Arthur.
Watch the steep stairs after a couple.

I had a wonderful stay at Sorell Barracks, a charming heritage accommodation in the heart of Sorell. The room was cosy and comfortable, with everything I needed for my short stay. The location was quiet and peaceful, within easy walking distance to food and cafes. I would highly recommend Sorell Barracks to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Tassie.

Lovely place, spotless, comfortable,easy to find and get into. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and will be rebooking every time we have work in Sorell. Highly recommend this for the place and the little extras, a lovely note that I couldnt respond to as I had no pen. Thank you for lovely accommodation.
