Well worth a visit. Lovely place with tasty food and prompt service. The menu had lots of options. I had pumpkin risotto which was a very generous serving and my husband had the burger which was also very nice. Prices were about average Would definitely visit again.

Foodie heaven in Brighton! We have been here a few times now and they are consistently fantastic. The food is fresh (you can make minor changes like no bread etc), the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is why Melbourne is famous for cafes.

The photo is of an empty plate - because I was not waiting for a photo when that gorgeous food was placed in-front of me. The coffee is perfect too, I’m one of those difficult coffee drinkers and they made it perfect!

They are dog friendly so bring your fur baby to sit by your side.

Highly recommend Sons of Mary.

SoM just keeps getting better. Stylish, classy and modern interior fit out that high lights modernity and the buildings old past. It's a beautiful mix. Fabulous food, ambience and first class service by friendly and courteous staff. The updated menu delivers a great range of new choices along with the tried and tested flat breads etc and this true gem, while remaining unpretentious, is everything that so many others can't even dream of matching. Love it... and so very worthy of 5 stars !!!!

Gorgeous space that was full of happy customers. Service was very attentive and friendly. My chicken flatbread was delicious. The menu had plenty of options. A lovely hidden gem with plenty of space, bright light coming in from the windows. A very welcoming, relaxed and stylish atmosphere.

By far the best bayside dining experience in a long long time. There is a reason restaurants like this are busy and survive the test of time. Firstly, efficient, fast and very professional staff (they almost appeared like magic just when you needed something). The food was incredibly generous, super fresh and so delicious. We chose eggplant chips which were crunchy (not oily) and so tasty, char sui pork bao buns, the chicken breast and seafood linguine. All absolutely superb. We then shared the cannoli (x4) for dessert. The wine and coffee were equally great. To top off a wonderful night in a beautiful and inviting space the bill was only $75 each (entree, main, 2 drinks, coffee and shared dessert). Bravo Sons of Mary. Can’t wait to come back.
