Fantastic and informative place to learn about the original Snowy Scheme. So much information and history from the original snowy scheme. You can spend hours and hours looking and reading about the snowy hydro scheme, the workers and locations that had to work in. The staff working there are super nice and helpful answering all questions. Will definitely be back as I didn’t spend enough time there the first time. Well worth the visit especially if travelling into Cooma.

Worth a visit and it’s free!
Excellent and fascinating displays of this impressive project. The talk and movie is definitely informative, the guide really knew her stuff and answered every question brilliantly.
Take note of the closing time, and try to get there at least an hour beforehand.

We stopped here to charge our electric BMW. The cafe had just closed for the day. We were in great need of food and restrooms. The amazing male staff member offered to let us come inside to use the restrooms (even though the cafe was closed). The friendly staff also offered us a few leftover food items (for free) as the registers were already balanced and turned off. The food was DELICIOUS, fresh and high quality. We'd just driven 4 hours, we can't express the gratitude we felt. The genuine kindness shown to us has helped restore my faith in the human race. There are still some beautiful people in this world. Thank you to the man and lovely ladies, you're all wonderful.

Great place to learn about one of our biggest engineering marvels. They have two talks one is a 1975 video and the other is a presentation with some fly overs and a more modern video. Cafe has great coffee. And a selection of warm food like sausage roll, pie, quiche and then sandwiches and other snacks. Great cakes.

Educational, interesting with the right amount of artefacts, photos, and explanatory detail to provide insights into this fascinating national project that did so much to change the technological capabilities and multicultural population of modern Australia.
Plus, nerdy cool souvenirs. And nice staff.

Friendly staff, informative display.
We were greeted with a smile and an offer of coffee to start our visit. The Museum is free and very interesting.
So fitting that a very well maintained memorial to those who perished building the Hydro scheme to adjacent.
Well done Cooma!
