Smithy's is an absolute beauty, great seaside camping, rough amenities, but hey, they serve the purpose. Road in is a bit rough in places, but I have driven worse. Smithy and Colleen were great hosts. You really need a boat if you want to catch fish. Boats are available for hire at a reasonable rate if there's a couple of you wanting to fish.

No need to book. Cold water showers. Flushing toilets. Lots of fresh water for drinking. Take your rubbish away with you.

Smithies Beach is great. Smithie will take you out to catch big muddies. He makes it look easy. Small walk then boom your onto them. Highly recommend ?

Easy beach access for launching your boat. 4x4 recommended to get there on the 43km dirt road. Lovely peaceful place

I have never camped so close to the beach, just beautiful! A gorgeous location. Stayed one night, could have easily stayed 5. There are some toilets there and showers but recommend being self sufficient and being happy with a dip in the ocean to freshen up. A couple camped nearby when out looking for mudcrabs guided by some members of the family who run the place and came back some beautiful big ones. The track in is fine - type pressures and drive to conditions.
