Charmaine ran a two-day training session for our diverse team of 40 and right from the start, it felt like something special.

What really stood out was the genuine care and passion Charmaine brought to the experience. She spent time getting to know our organisation, our goals, and our people, which meant the training was completely tailored to what we needed. It was thoughtful, relevant, and aligned to where we’re heading in 2025.

Some of our team were understandably nervous, as this was the first time many of them had been part of external training like this. But Charmaine quickly created a safe and encouraging space. It wasn’t long before everyone was leaning in, smiling, and fully engaged.

Charmaine’s approach is lively, dynamic, engaging, and purposeful. She helped the team understand what’s expected of them moving forward in a way that felt empowering rather than daunting. Attended this course a couple of weeks ago. I recently started my first sales job and was looking to develop my sales skills. I self funded the course and was a bit unsure with myself.

The course was amazing! A great experience, fun, happy and fast paced. The 2 days of training kept me engaged, smiling and thinking. A mindset reframe is what I was looking for and that’s exactly what I left with!

Never did I imagine that a week later I would break personal sale records and the most amount of leads booked from what I’ve learnt.

The feedback I’ve had from my sales team alone speaks for itself. I’ve almost paid back half the course in just 4 days of applying what I learnt! I haven’t even locked in and fully learnt everything I need to know with the remaining online learning modules.

All the course staff were lovely and so welcoming. Big shout out to Charmaine, Heather and Anne.

I also met many wonderful people during the course. The two in-person days were designed to encourage interaction with professionals from a wide range of sales backgrounds, which I found brilliant and another factor that boosted my confidence by the end of the course.

Many members of our experienced team have completed the Sales Accelerator program. This was my second session with Charmaine (following her keynote attended last year).

The two-day negotiation course saved me and my business hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Thanks to this course, I asked so many questions and found out things I never would have uncovered previously, some of which may have resulted in unexpected and uncapped costs.

I learnt so much on those two days. The course set me up with clear strategy, and tactics.

I had my first training, The Sales Accelerator, in 2016 and it shifted the way I thought about approaching clients and running the business.

Being able to do that whilst having a commercial mindset is what I’ve learnt from Charmaine.

Since then, I’ve had multiple development touch points with Charmaine including the live masterclasses. All of them highly valuable.

After a 30 - minute ‘LinkedIn’ masterclass a few months ago, we followed the simple steps Charmaine laid out and kept to her principle (and ours) of being genuine and authentic- the result in those following two weeks we secured more work than any other quarter.

Charmaine runs a safe environment where you get to learn, get stretched and shine.

Lots of practice to ensure you have rewired your brain to the new behaviours (Negotiation has over 9 roleplays including Mike and Charmaine writing one specifically for me).

The other people in the program are always driven and supportive and you have the Academy resources afterwards.

What a Fantastic Program! Charmaine guided the team through a program designed to shift their perspective—helping them see that sales is about helping, and that integrity and authenticity are at the heart of it. The goal was to become Trusted Advisors—genuinely supporting clients and building meaningful relationships. The program was both structured and adaptable, seamlessly addressing questions and turning each moment into a learning opportunity.

Charmaine shared a wide range of tools and techniques, covering everything from belief systems and assumptions to communication strategies, active listening, effective questioning, personality styles, and reading others. Much of the content was tailored specifically to our organisation, including role-playing real client calls, refining our language, and helping the team move from an ‘admin-focused’ mindset (just getting the job done) to a ‘client-focused’ approach (putting the client at the centre of everything we do).

By the end, the team stood taller—literally and figuratively—and told us they felt far more confident in their roles. What a fun filled, highly energetic program! Highly recommend!

Since 1813, The Benevolent Society has been supporting communities with care at the heart of its operations. With many team members coming from backgrounds such as social work, an ongoing question emerged: how can this compassionate workforce effectively communicate the organisation's values and service features, especially when navigating conversations that may be perceived as ‘selling’?

To address this, The Benevolent Society engaged Charmaine Keegan from Smarter Selling, whose approach had previously impressed other leaders and came highly recommended.
From the outset, Charmaine demonstrated a deep understanding of the organisation’s goals, taking the time to connect with leadership and actively listen to client interactions. This foundation allowed her to develop a customised, impactful program that aligned with the organisation’s language and ethos.
