Never even made it to the hotel.... Tried organising a bus, waited outside the motel we were staying at for nearly half an hour past our pick up time (6pm) knowing that there was only a 2 hour window for their last bus for it not to come. Rang & the girl was laughing & then said oops he's still sitting here... Told her to forget it because I won't support crap service, went to Cherry St Bowlo & it was great... Good food, good service & pokies that pay 🤣🤣.

On my recent visit, I indulged in their 200g rump steak, which has quickly become my favorite go-to dish. Priced at an unbeatable $16, this steak was tender and cooked to perfection, making every bite a delight. I opted for the extra serve of fresh vegetables for an additional $4, and it was well worth it. The veggies were crisp and complemented the steak beautifully, rounding out my meal with a healthy touch.

My wife couldn't resist trying the chicken schnitzel, which was equally impressive—crispy, juicy, and generously portioned, making it a great choice for those with a hearty appetite. The accompanying chips were perfectly seasoned and had a delightful crunch, providing a fantastic foundation for the meal.

One of the standout features was having beers from Seven Mile Brewing (Ballina's local brewery) on tap. I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of schooners of their Cali Cream, the perfect refreshing complement to my steak. The combination of local craft beer and a well-cooked meal made for an enjoyable afternoon.

It is not fancy, its really pretty basic but sitting at the pub I appreciated the vibrant atmosphere that comes from being right on River Street. It’s the ideal spot to people-watch and soak in the hustle and bustle of this charming coastal town. The Slipway Hotel offers not just great food and drinks but also a cozy, local vibe that feels welcoming and genuine.

In summary, the Slipway Hotel Pub in Ballina is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a delicious, inexpensive lunch. I haven't stayed in the rooms, but I've eaten at the Slipway many times. The meals are well cooked and very reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and happy. It's always a pleasure to spend time there.

This hotel/motel offers a place to stay in the middle of Ballina which is reasonably priced.|The room we stayed in was clean. The only thing I could fault it on was that the wifi was very slow. The screen door had tears in it.| We had dinner in their bistro which was delicious.

The bistro meals are unbeatable value. Friendly service and no wait times even though all the tables were full. Perfect steak every time. The chicken schnitzel nearly bigger than the plate. The whole family was happy! Even won a couple of bucks on Keno.

The place is in the centre of the town, it's close to everything, as in everything. The rooms are outdated but neat and tidy. They provide fresh towels every day, coffee, tea, and sugar, and collect your rubbish. The TV in our room isn't smart tv, but it's okay. They have a bar fridge and kettle to make yourself a coffee.

Went to bed and woke to no phone wallet or earbuds. Somebody entered my room and stole the lot. Ground floor unit. Hotel not helpful in trying to help. Had to go find a local policeman. Not impressed

The chef was very rude and didn't cook the steak very well done and put tomatoes on my plate when I said no tomato's cause I'm allergic too them very rude
