Tried to book a rental car here for work. Said they would send through a confirmation in 48 hours - didn’t receive one so had to call to find out what was going on. Finding a National phone number was half the battle. One I got through they said that my order had been cancelled on their end and never they told me.

Then they said they couldn’t rebook me because they can’t cater for rental cars being returned to a different location - is it really that hard to provide decent rental car service? Ended up booking through Thrifty.

Flight was delayed into Albury (a regular event) so I arrived outside of 'business hours'.
No staff present, which is fine but:
- no signage or directions
- all sixt contact lines and numbers are unstaffed outside of hours
- website design does everything it can to discourage and redirect from simple phone contact numbers, had to google it elsewhere
- no info online or elsewhere about after hours pickup, just useless FAQs that did not address the topic
- did not try to contact me regarding the pickup when flights were delayed to arrange pickup or other options
- no after hours pickup or keys that I could find anywhere.

Could not pickup my prepaid rental vehicle, or contact anyone who could help, and it was during the middle of the day.

A very frustrating experience, especially considering its Albury where transport options are especially slim, and a number of regular flights arriving late or at odd hours.

Will use a different company with decent or reliable service next time.

Edit: forgot to mention the text message links asking for reviews sent after the 'return date' were broken and non functional.

Hopeless. I was unable to collect a booked vehicle because they do not answer the phone, do not follow up voice messages, and leave their counter unstaffed during advertised business hours. There's plenty of other choice at the airport, use a different company.

No mats which was unusual and choc on seat when picked up
