Beautiful rock formations, good place for a quick stopover or to stretch your legs. The graffiti, however, ruins the beauty of the place in my opinion. Lots of broken glass on the ground, so be mindful if wearing slippers, especially with little kids. Don't go out of your way to visit.

An interesting place to stop alongside the highway to admire different styles of graffiti.
The boulders are very large and would have some kind of geological reasoning behind them, but there is no information sign.
Lots of different graffiti everywhere.
Only concern is that there is smashed glass everywhere, and I mean everywhere all over the ground, so be careful when walking around.

I first visited this site when I was 8 years old, some 50 years ago. Back then it was easily visible from the Western Highway but now it is virtually hidden behind trees. Even though I have given it 4 stars I appreciate that many will see it as an environmental eyesore because of the graffiti tagging on what is a mysterious conglomerate of boulders. Historically, people have been painting their names on the rocks for over 70 years. The site makes for a short stop, maybe a picnic lunch stop with its typical Australian landscape of gum trees and gravel (no grass to sit on). Note though that it is a "large" ant city. The boulders themselves are worth exploring and maybe playing hide-and-seek! The site sometimes feels a bit creepy and isolated - it is not visited often because it is out of sight and there is no real signage. The gravel track into it veers off the Western Hwy just out the East side of Stawell. The entry track has some deep ruts, so care is needed to avoid them or to manouvre around them - drive gently.

An interesting small rock formation just off the Western Highway, with plenty of room to park on the large gravel surface.
The small signpost for the turnoff was missing when I was there recently.
The rocks themselves are colourfully painted in graffiti, and it's well worth your time to walk around ,and explore some of the smaller spaces between the rocks.
You'll find almost every spot painted over, leaving little of the original stone uncovered. Only the very top sections of the larger rocks are free from any paint.

This is an awesome place to visit! The rocks themselves are amazing, plus the graffiti, giving us a uniquely fun feeling, especially after a day of rock climbing in the Grampians 😊

Drop by after a mark shown on google map. Massive rocks, some broken glasses on the grounds near the rocks. A lots of graffiti on the rocks which personally I think it destroyed the nature beauty of it. However, it will be fantastic view with some nicely drawn graffiti. 😊
