Won't be going again and wish i had never attended an event run by this company and having a host named Tommy in charge, if you want to call it in charge. Host was trying to be amusing, which fell pathetically short of being in anyway amusing and which only got in the way of the daters trying to converse with each other. The venue was small and dating area cramped for room and the finger food i think might have been found in a dumpster. When mentioned all this to the host, he became very agitated. So along with quite a few other daters we just got up and left early. Give these events a big go past.

Went to an event run by this company and will never return. Host who said his name was Tommy, was the most unhelpful person you could wish for as a host. He was ignoring the daters who were informing him of the seating, which was way too cramped. Also the venue smelt and the finger food, was cold and tasteless. As i said his attitude was pathetic and it was obvious he wasn't in a good area on the night. Give him and his dating a events a huge go past.

Yes you advised me that you would transfer to the next event and i have tried to call you, text, email you numerous times and I have been ignored and only when I gave a poor Review you reply to me. I looked up your addrss in Melbourne and was going to call in because of you guys not acknowledging any of my attempts to contact you! Do you blame me?

Not the best of nights and wouldn't recommend these speed dating events to anyone, because of numerous bad experiences which occurred on the night.
Firstly the host who claimed his name was Tommy was pestering the females all night long. Some just decided to leave early because of this.
The seating was cramped which made it very hard to hear the lady you were trying to talk too. And when i tried to talk to this host about things, he became very agitated. Don't think he was in a good area on the night.
I have also noticed how he treats truthful reviews like mine on here, as he states he has no one by that name on his data base. Best thing to say there is, update your data base then.

Watch this guy Tommy's reply to my truthful review of his dating event, one of which i went to. He will come up with that i am not on his data base. Renew your data base then, Tommy. Or This is a fake review, no it's not Tommy. Or so on and so on. I did in fact attend an event run by this Tommy and everything you read on the one star reviews here about them, i found to be my unpleasant experience. He was obnoxious when i let him know about the seating, as we the paying customers were jammed in like sardines in a can. The tasteless cold finger food, i was lucky i didn't get salmonella from. He was trying to be funny, but that fell pathetically short. In the end he had annoyed half the daters, who went home early. And as i said so on and so on. If you look at the last 15 reviews on line here, he would not even be getting a two star rating. Figure it out for yourselves. And now come on Tommy, fake review. No one on data base by my name. Attack on your company by competitor. No Tommy, the truthful facts. Now tell everyone how much you love them, providing they love you.

A few years ago I booked a month in advance for a round of speed dating. Me and about 10 others showed up at the event and stood around outside for about 30 minutes before someone at Single Events Melbourne finally answered a call. The called off the event days in advance, and those of that showed up were only the ones who failed to get informed.

On top of the time wasted they refused to refund me the money from the event, only wanting to offer me another event as a replacement. I refuse to waste my time with these unorganized event organizers.

I decided to cut my loses and just move on. But years later they still spam my email box with single events, despite my best efforts asking them to stop and blocking email addresses. Wish they'd lose my email address.

If you want to meet someone, I wouldn't try doing it here. Waste of time and money.

Update - As I said cutting my loses. It was you and I'm not going to try and get a refund again only for you to try and offer me more speed dates as a replacement for a refund or a discount on something else. Screw that noise.

I think I have been one of the people that have fallen for this scam.
Recieved an SMS about two hours beforehand that the event is to be postponed and my ticket transferred - and my attempts to get anything official in terms of a transferred ticket or refund have been met with silence from Tommy.

Won't be back. Host who said his name was Tommy was ignorant of customers needs, as more than just myself let him know about the seating, which had us too close together, so much so, you could hear the persons conversations either side.
The finger food was cold and tasteless and he was on his phone all night long.
Never again.
