I had a wonderful dining experience at this Persian restaurant Shella. The mixed grill plate was a highlight, with perfectly cooked, flavorful meats, and the maze offered a delicious variety of traditional dishes that paired beautifully with the main course. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and authentic. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to savor quality Persian cuisine.

A hidden gem in Balmain for authentic Persian cuisine. Loved each and every dish we tried. The entire spread was delicious and the ambience is so cozy and perfect. The staff is very warm and friendly.

Recommend the below dishes:
- A Taste of Treasures - Four delicious dips of your choice, served with crunchy house-made pita bread. My favourite.
- Makdous - one of my Favourite dishes
- Lamb Gheimeh Stew
- Saffron Chicken Salad - Really good, the chicken was cooked perfectly.
- Baklava: The best we ever had.

We were so impressed with our recent visit to Shila Kitchen.

Each dish we ate was such a delicious blend of Persian spices, textures and flavours.

I absolutely loved the Baba Ganoush dip with house made crunchy pita bread. I would happily eat this every day for the rest of my life it was so delicious.

We also enjoyed the Like A King Platter which is a mix platter of saffron chicken fillet, lamb chenjeh, minced lamb and saffron chicken wings, served on lavash bread with grilled tomatoes and chilli. This was the best choice of dish to share with my meat loving brother. He is still raving about this platter.

Our final dish was the flavoursome traditional Persian Lamb Gheimeh Stew which is slow cooked lamb with split peas, tomato sauce, Omani lime, rose water and turmeric served with saffron rice and sides.

I highly recommend Shila Kitchen Balmain. Not only was the food outstanding but the service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. I also loved the interior of this restaurant.

Note: If you are too full for dessert you can always buy one of the beautifully packed baklava or persian biscuit packs to take home or a variety of Turkish Delights.

As someone Persian and deeply familiar with the authentic flavors of our cuisine, I was genuinely impressed with this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the warm and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home.
The meze platter was vibrant and flavorful, while the kebabs were perfectly tender and cooked to perfection. The professional and attentive team added to the overall experience, making this a must-visit spot for anyone craving true Persian cuisine.

We have been here a few times and the food is always amazing! Delicious flavours, very generous portions and always a tidy and cute ambiance. They also make decent coffee so we highly recommend this place!

Quite a more modern European setup in comparison to most other Persian restaurants which is a nice change! Was about half full when we came for lunch, staff are very warm and friendly, has a very gourmet feel with all the goods for sale as well.

Food all has a bit of a modern twist! Full of flavour and fresh!
