A second-to--none location, and a stunning property, with amazing hosts who are there if you need them but leave you with complete privacy otherwise. The glorious cabin faces over the river and rainforest, in the opposite direction to the owner's house. The cabin is equipped with excellent examples of everything you need and numerous extra touches that really go above and beyond. The breakfast items provided are varied and plentiful (served us for both breakfast and lunch for each of our 3 days there!). The physical location is perfect, so close to Lake Eacham and an easy drive to Malanda, Yungaburra or Atherton. We're so pleased we found and were able to book Sharlynn. Don't hesitate!!

We had a relaxing stay at Sharlynn by the River. The beautiful cabin had everthing we needed and more. Even fresh flowers! The generous breakfast provisions were fresh, local produce. Loved sitting on the verandah surrounded by nature. No noise except the sounds of the rainforest and creek. |There are paths and steps but to get the most out of the property bring shoes suitable for walking in the rainforest.|John and Pam were welcoming, informative and helpful hosts who were there when needed but respected your privacy.

Excellent home away from home!! with very cosy, warm, and private surroundings. Pam & John really take care and welcome their guests really well (with only one guest group taken up at any time). The cabin was located in a natural private rain forest resort with river and birds chorus in the background. The cabin was very well equipped with top rated fittings and appliances and loaded with all the goodies from local organic fruits and dairy supply. We, as a family of three adults, ended up spending more time relaxing in the accommodating than touring. It was the highlight of our five days trip.

This place is paradise. John & Pam are such beautiful people and they have totally gone above and beyond. The beautiful treats they leave and wonderful breakfasts. They are both exceptional. Bed very comfortable and cabin just Devine highly recommend to anyone wanting to go to paradise. Loved Charlie to very friendly. Well done John & Pam.

What a gem! Secluded piece of tropical paradise with all the creature comforts you need to enjoy your time in the Tablelands. Spent 3 nights and could easily spend a week. Great hosts, very comfortable stay!

Our stay here was amazing. It was so relaxing to sit in the spa bath looking out into the rainforest or sit on the balcony listening to the sound of river. The cabin was amazing and all of the little extra touches provided by Pam and John topped off an amazing weekend. We'll definitely be recommending this to our friends and family.

John and Pam De Rooy are the best hosts and we enjoyed fresh fruit and great Gallo cheese along with lots of other local produce. Set right in the rainforest and on the South Johnston River it is a beautiful location and there is a slow combustion fireplace to keep you lovely and warm on cool winter nights. It is a spacious appartment with a well appointed kitchen and a great bathroom with a spar bath which has a view of the rainforest along with a seperate shower. ||It's a great place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounds.

The peace and quiet at this place is sereal. You have nature all around you and the river is just a stone's throw away. The breakfast supplies had a lot of variety and were plentiful. My wife is vegetarian and her tastes were satisfied too. John and Pam were also very helpful with local knowledge. If you really want to relax, this is the place to go.
