I had an exceptional dining experience at Shanglish! The vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality set the tone, but it was Nour's outstanding service that truly stood out.

The food was incredible each dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented.

Overall, Shanglish impressed me with its amazing cuisine and top-notch service. I highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience!

I’m genuinely perplexed by the positive reviews that others have left as they must have the tastebuds of a 3 year old.

I don’t understand nor fathom how three eggs is $16 and the same dish with diced sujuk is $20. Both these dishes were described as having herbs and spices, unfortunately both dishes were devoid from flavour and any pleasurable experience to be had.

I felt like a prisoner who was given scraps to eat as the serving size was extremely small. I genuinely had 4 bites and the meal was over.

I cannot believe they associated Fairouz with a bottom of the barrel restaurant such as this. I feel sorry for the workers who have to wear clothing similar to that of a clown.

Restaurants like this only exist for the sole purpose of aesthetics.

I recently had the opportunity to try Kenafeh at Shanglish - Bankstown, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations.

The dish lacked the freshness. The texture was soggy rather than crisp and delicate, and the cheese base felt overly greasy and lacked the stretchy consistency it’s known for. The presentation also left much to be desired, as it appeared disheveled and unappetizing.

This was a disappointing experience that did not reflect the quality I expected, especially for the $15 I paid for each plat which is much more expensive than at other shops.

Our first time and my wife and I enjoyed a traditional Lebanese breakfast at Shanglish Bankstown Central.
We shared the foul’b tahini and batata and eggs, finishing with Lebanese coffee.
The Staff were attentive and friendly.
Our experience was great, from the beginning to the end, we highly recommend the Shanglish!

We enjoyed a traditional Lebanese breakfast at Shanglish Bankstown Central this morning, and the experience was great, beginning to end. We were welcomed by a gentleman dressed in traditional Lebanese garb, serving Lebanese coffee on a cart at the door. We shared a variety of breakfast meals, and each one was full of flavour and so fresh. Staff were attentive and polite. It's obvious the owners paid a lot of attention to detail when designing the store, the decor was modern and still it complemented the traditional feel of the restaurant, to the point where it's easy to forget you're sitting in a busy shopping centre. At times there was a line up of people waiting for a table for a short while, which is not surprising! One of my favourite details was the Lebanese tea served out of a metal teapot, into small glass teacups, like my Jedo used to enjoy. If you're looking for a Lebanese bite at a cosy location with a welcoming and transitional feel, this is the place to go, I highly recommend Shanglish!

Down from Melbourne. We were blown away by the exceptional food quality and the inviting atmosphere at shanglish! The experience was so fantastic that we're already planning our next trip from Melbourne to Sydney just to dine there again. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!" From the service to the chefs to the food quality was absolutely amazing. Also met the owner amazing person. I would highly recommend to have a authentic lebenese breakfast experience.

I was very disappointed with my experience at shanglish. We ordered Tayta’s breakfast plate and another side dish, everything was squashed up in one plate, the eggs were overcooked. The bread, vegetables and everything else on the plate lacked freshness and flavour. The only positive was the service. Im sorry to say I definitely won’t be coming back. It’s definitely over price. 😔

This place is a total rip-off, but done skillfully. The prices are outrageous for food that is so basic, you could make it at home for $1-2.

I went with my daughter and ordered Shanglish eggs and a mocha. The bill came to around $21-25. The dish was just four eggs with some cheese and sujuk on top—something anyone could easily prepare at home. To make matters worse, they gave me the wrong order. I told the waitress, and she took the plate to the kitchen, then returned within a minute. It felt like the chef just removed the sujuk by hand and sent the same dish back out.

They once sold ice cream, and seeing a long line, I thought it must be either free or cheap. Turns out, it was $10 for a simple soft serve with pistachios on top! Unbelievable.

I honestly think this place is pulling a well-crafted scam, and I'm genuinely baffled as to why it has 5-star reviews. The food doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars at best, maybe for the aesthetic of the shop. But seriously, what are they serving, and how are they getting these 5-star reviews? Are these bots or paid reviews? This has been the worst Lebanese food experience I’ve had in Australia.

If you're a multimillionaire or billionaire, it might make sense to waste some money here. But for an average middle-class family, this place is definitely not suitable for a regular dining experience, especially given the terrible quality of the food.
