Great Art deco style pub in an industrial revival area. Cheap and cheerful. The staff were helpful and the room was clean and about right for the price. It’s about 1.5 k from most things but a couple of great cafes nearby. If you get room 5 try to move as it’s hot and the fan is really loud.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bar fridge, kettle, and microwave in room (separate kitchen available to guests for those who want to cook). I knew that there wouldn't be any air-conditioning in the room, so can't complain about the heat, but I would not want to stay there if temperatures exceeded 30 degrees; the ceiling fan does little to increase comfort. There is also a smokers' area on the same level as the hotel rooms: Great for those who smoke, but awful for those who don't want cigarette smell coming in through the windows. If I stayed again, I would specifically request a room far away from the smokers' area. The shared bathrooms were okay (better than expected based on past reviews), but there are only two toilets and showers for all guests, which is not enough during peak times. One of the showers was broken during my stay, as were the locks to the other shower and toilet. This needs to be fixed. The pub, however, was great: Good food, nice atmosphere, and live music on some days.

Loved the stay. The room was super spacious. The location is just 1.5kms away from Newcastle station and easily walkable. Location is silent as well. The staffs were so empathetic and always were welcoming, everyone of them! There was all the amineties needed - kitchen, washing machine, dryer, iron box, etc. Would definitely come back here again and bang for the price! I almost forgot, their Chilli Chicken pizza is the best I have ever had in my life! Keep up the great work!

Seven seas hotel
that there were some good things at this accommodation. Firstly the staff were friendly and the food in the hotel was nice. The rooms fell short of a few living standards.Food is always 10/10, price is amazing and their daily specials and deals are always great.The pub is iconic in Newcastle located in Carrington it once served seamen,Dockyard workers in times in the past. The pub has been renovated but keeping a Deco feel. I can imagine locals have many a good time. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu covers most food choices and prices are not ridiculous. Kids menu will keep little ones happy.The staff really make it into a great place, and they have been extremely friendly to us since our first visit to the pub. The other locals are also always very friendly and it’s always such a great atmosphere. I’ve tried some other pubs around the area and nothing really compares!
