Arrived for lunch but walked into a construction project. The project was walled off with a plastic sheet but the noise from the nail gun was still loud.
The service was very good and quick . The front of house , bar person , waitress did a remarkable job not only performing all these roles but informing the patrons of the future purpose of the project and assuring them the inconvenience will be over soon.
The meal was well worth enduring the noise.
The slow cooked pork was very tender and served with vegetables and baked potato.
Salt and pepper squid was well cooked served with chips and salad.
Have booked a group table for next month.

Southern chicken burger was good resembled KFC which was cool for a pub meal.
My mate had a half serve of prawns which was generous for the price. Unfortunately the oil should be replaced and the prawns where over cooked.

Has been pretty good in the past, but last time I visited, I had corned silverside and cabbage with veg and mustard sauce. The plate was awash with water, and everything had the same, foul Chemical like taste. The veg where under cooked and tastless apart from the wierd, all pervasive taste! Wont hurry back, but sadly, pubs in adelaide are all getting pretty ordinary of late. By comparison, there is still great food to be had on Yorke Peninsula.

This place exceeded my expectations. The food was fantastic—especially the Chicken Kilpatrick Parmigiana. Not only was it reasonably priced, but it was also delivered quickly. The playground was above average for this type of establishment, although it could use a bit more lighting. Despite that minor issue, the overall experience was great.

Have lived in the area, and settlers tavern has always been a regular for us. We haven’t been there since before the construction/renovations started. We came tonight with a big group, 7 adults and 7 kids. Spending a good amount of over $250 Service was the most upsetting tonight with the waitress being extremely rude, being told kids shouldn’t be getting kids eat free just because it’s a public holiday, even though we already are being charged a surcharge fee for the holiday and a fee for paying on card aswell. It hasn’t stated anywhere kids meals on a public holiday wernt free so the way the waitress was acting over it was very rude. If you aren’t wanting to do kids eat free on a public holiday then you should post it on your socials or have a sign stating it. Instead of your waitress trying to make us feel bad over it like we should be charged. Food has gone down hill a lot, the meals are no we’re near the same. Fish taste like it’s packaged fish from coles, southern fried tenders were a big favourite and now they are completely opposite. Paying $22 to make it a main meal just for three peices. Compared to what it use to be. All kids meals were returned as a cheeseburger for a kid coming out charcoal is just not on for kids, i under there meals aren’t going to be Gordon Ramsey meals but come on, it was like cardboard the meat patty aswell as the roll it was served on. Salad was basically a bowl of mixed lettuce. Was also charged extra for veggies but was given the option for veg or salad. Not understanding why we were charged for veg but not salad. Kids deserts, jelly seemed like it had been made and placed in a fridge for weeks it was so stiff and not enjoyable. Kids icreams was basically one teaspoon very small serving. The food we get can be a hit and miss while a new chef is learning but so many things were just not up to standard but the most upsetting part was really the service. Once we had ordered and been treated the way we’re was by your waitress, it was just appalling. I don’t think she should be serving customers at all with her attitude and rudeness. Very unpolite. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Katie and the bar staff did a great job with my milestone birthday function last night near the bistro/playground. Kids entertained, everybody well fed with platter food and suitably lubricated with a flexible bar tab arrangement. The room is mostly blocked from other patrons so played our own music. Set up decorations and arranged room the night before. Ace!

What a dump , smells weird , bugs flying around while you eat ... Food is VERY average, staff don't look like they want to be there .. ... Won't EVER go back .. even the renovation won't make a difference to that out dated pub , decor and atmosphere needs a LOT of work .. sorry but that's my experience..
