Clean, cheap, very compact. NO AIR-CONDITIONING. VERY HOT. TV not working. Fridge not turned on. One towel for a couple. Reception staff friendly, not in office, need to ring. Brought us a new fan after we rang for one, we had to assemble, after a trip to Bunnings for a screwdriver to assemble it. (Maybe take your own fan) Bathroom new but light on timer and door must be kept shut. Good location. Was quiet but could be noisy if busy. Parking around the back, away from complex, a bit confusing. Outside needs a mower. Ex student accommodation.

2 stars is a bit of a push for this place, i’m not even sure where to start. Stayed here for just over 3months with 2 of my mates and we all had a horrible experience. Most nights there was another tenant screaming meaning the police had to be called, aswell as another tenant at the early hours of the morning lying naked outside while extremely drunk. The room itself isn’t bad it’s clean, has a fridge and TV. The female bathrooms, there is only one and 3 male bathrooms, there’s also no sanitary bin in the toilet. The male bathrooms were always an issue with someone leaving feces (photos below) on numerous occasions. The kitchen/common area was always disgusting with a literal ant infestation and a collection on spiders above the sink. There is also no bin in the kitchen. This isn’t even half of the things that went on while i stayed there. Lastly, ai never received my full bond back, I tried calling multiple times regarding this issue to get the rest of my money back but when i call the number on the website I get straight through to answering machine.

it’s been 8 months, they have blocked my number and me on instagram and facebook. They still owe me money. Please do not stay at this accommodation if you want your FULL bond back.

The room was newly furnished, clean and neat. It’s a pity it smelt like raw sewage and had no aircon or fans. It was so hot we couldn’t sleep and, after hours of tossing and turning, when we asked for a fan we were given one in a box to put together ourselves. I forgot my screwdriver so not very successful. The bathroom light and fan automatically came on...and stayed on for 10 minutes with no way to switch off. So after no sleep, we left as early as we could. Very poor value for money.

I’ll start from the beginning... first impression of the Seranin Bathurst wasn’t a good one. The grounds are messy and unkept. Looks dilapidated from the outside. Wheelie bins placed in front drive so you can’t park there. They make you drive down a side alley to what can only be described as a small paddock. Lucky for me I had a 4wd to drive through the knee high weeds that I then had to get out and walk through in my open sandals. There is no lighting in this area if you come back late at night. I was greeted in the building entry by an older broken washing machine that had just been left there. First impression of the room was although basic it looked clean. Was there for a sports weekend, went to put drinks in the fridge to cool and found fridge not on and not plugged in. Couldn’t see obvious place for fridge to be plugged in so called manager who told me to pull fridge to closest power point and use extension cable left on windowsill to plug it in. I mustn’t have sounded happy as manager appeared and climbed into a covered area under the sink to plug fridge in. Back to fine until we got home from dinner at 10.30 to what felt like a sauna. The wall radiator was on and had been heating the room while we were out. Another call to the manager, he explained that other rooms had also complained but the heating and the water were one system and there was nothing he could do to fix it. He offered to bring a fan. It was in a sealed box. As I don’t travel with a toolbox I had to use a butter knife to put it together and it didn’t even switch on when I plugged it in. The manager called during this time to let me know he had switched something off in the boiler room and the heating should now turn off. As a result I woke up and had a cold shower this morning as there was no hot water. I paid a ridiculously high price for this substandard accommodation and guarantee I will never be back. I would have been more comfortable in a tent. Extremely unsatisfactory and very disappointed.

Didn’t have high hopes as only cost $110. Nothing else available in Bathurst so had to book. My husband accidentally left the keycard in the room when going down to the car which he was charged $50 (in cash) for the privilege of being let back in the room. We would have let this go if the room was worth it. The electrical set up was interesting, as pictured below. Not safe at all.||||I called the next day to ask for a copy of the policy and and receipt for the $50 paid. I was told there was no policy and he would send the receipt. He explained the system they use and how charges are made which I understood. When I mentioned the electrical situation things changed. He started yelling “why are you making trouble. What did you expect for $110. You had a room didn’t you” I began laughing as I was so shocked. He then told me I was never welcome there again and wouldn’t be sending me a receipt, then hung up on me.

Note: Please find photo uploaded and tell me if you think that looks like a working washing machine? Then explain just how honest your response is? My issues are most definitely not resolved. I still paid $225 for this horrible accommodation (and, you tried to charge me twice!! Lucky I don't keep excess money in my card account or I'd be chasing that up too!!)

DIRTY ROOM, DIRTY BATHROOM, NO BINS IN THE FEMALE BATHROOMS, NO SOAP IN THE TOILET, ALSO NOTHING TO DRY YOUR HANDS WITH IN THE BATHROOM. SHARED BATHROOM WITH ONE SHOWER NOT BEING ABLE TO BE LOCKED. THE HOUSEKEEPER TOLD US THE ROOMS ARE ONLY CLEANED ONE A WEEK AND GAVE ADDITUDE WHEN WE ASKED TO GIVE OUR ROOM A QUICK VACCUME. ALSO ALGAE IN THE WATER.

Went to this place last winter with my big family, clean and tidy rooms, very friendly staff and helpful as well. the price is fair enough. I give 5 stars rating 😊👍🏻
