I recently visited Sefton Golf Course and had a rather disappointing experience. While I was looking forward to enjoying a day on the green, I was immediately struck by how overly strict the rules were, especially regarding golf cart rentals.

First off, the whole process of signing a lengthy form and leaving a deposit felt excessive. It seems like the management has lost trust in their customers, which really dampened the vibe. I understand that policies are put in place for a reason, but when it feels like you’re being treated like a potential rule-breaker rather than a valued guest, it takes away from the whole experience.

Golf is meant to be a leisurely sport, a chance to unwind and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, but instead, I felt constrained by all the red tape. Where’s the freedom to just enjoy the game? It was frustrating to have to jump through hoops for something that should be simple.

If Sefton Golf Course wants to create a positive atmosphere for golfers, it might be worth reconsidering these strict policies. After all, trust and a sense of freedom are part of what makes the sport enjoyable. I hope they can strike a better balance moving forward.

Great little course for a quick round. Very good if you are wanting to improve your short iron play. Discounted rates for concession holders and good rate for everyone else. Plus the BBQ area is open for use again. A great place for social golf clubs.

A good challenging par 3 course with18 holes. Ideal course for learning the game or for the more experienced player to practice their short game. Small clubhouse with golf shop selling just the basics - gloves, balls, etc. Limited food and drinks.

Great golf course. Little public par 3 course operated by the council. Greens are very soft and thus a slow role on ball but more spin on landing. Most fairways and tee boxes in great condition, but a few patches here and there.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, including course workers. 27$ for 18 holes is great value.
This is a great challenge for practice working on short irons up to distances of 170m

Great 18 hole par 3 council course. Greens are a bit lacking and were slow. The course held the rain well. Pro-shop is minimal with decent provision of sustenance. Well equipped clean amenities are provided free off street parking. Plenty of sheltered outdoor seating & tables with access to free BBQ facilities.

Excellent for quick affordable game of golf, BBQ & after game socialising.

Find myself coming back here repeatedly. Staff are perfectly accommodating and friendly. A great little iron and short game course which I generally finish in about 2h walking - great for short rounds. Fairways and greens are very well kept
