Seahorse World is a truly unique experience.
It is a working hatchery of various types of Seahorses, and of the almost extinct Handfish.
The tour is guided, so you learn a lot along the way.
You see the Seahorses in the actual breeding tanks, at various stages of growth.
At the last tank, the largest, you are allowed to carefully pick up a Seahorse.
Entry fee is good for what is offered.
Don't miss out on Seahorse World - Recommended.

Fascinating and informative. If you have children i highly recommend seahorse world. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide led us on an amazing journey into the world of seahorses and their captive breeding program. They ship seahorses all over the world and have a few different species of this beautiful and graceful creature. They also have some lobsters, sharks and other fish in the tanks throughout the display.
Well worth the time and money, quite an experience. The tour lasted approx 45 mins.

We got suggested this place on a whim from the hotel and genuinely I am not joking when I say I don’t think I’d remember Launceston as fondly if it wasn’t for this little detour.
The little cafe kiosk has nostalgic treats which bring a childlike joy which truly sets the mood for the rest of the journey. The tours are chock full of unique facts and knowledge even the most avid aquarium-plaque-reader wouldn’t know. And finally, leaving the tour you’re met with a beautiful and awe-inspiring view of the water.
This is genuinely a must see if you’re touring the area.

Incredible place. They have done such an amazing job at making this tour an exciting experience and c chance to learn amazing things about our sea creatures. I would definitely recommend coming. All ages would do well here.
You even get a chance to touch a seahorse and hermit crab!! Our tour guide Joel (I think?) was incredible and kind. He was very knowledgeable about seahorses.

I would recommend booking online, but tours do start hourly so you could just come in before the next hour.
10/10 will visit again.

The Seahorse Aquarium in Tasmania was a cool spot to check out. They had plenty of seahorses, and it was pretty amazing to see them up close. I learned a lot during the visit, especially with the staff sharing interesting facts about their lives and how they breed. It’s a great place if you’re into marine life.
You can have the choice to touch at the end of the visit, however I did not do it.

We really enjoyed this place and the kids loved it. The guide was very informative and great with kids. We felt the tour was just the right length and there was plenty to see as well as some other marine life besides seahorses.
