My favourite French bakery in Canberra. Tucked away in ANU, and rightfully by the School of Art. I believe and not a lot of people would know about this place but you best believe they serve amazing pastries, cakes and baguettes!

I always come here for the baguettes that are served at 11:30 am. More particularly the Smoked Salmon and Brie baguette.

The staff are always amazing and shout out to the French speaking staff who allow me to practice my French.

Look out for their soup of the day and/or their daily specials. Oh and they do sell the French biscuits and sweets imported from France.

Look at the Pretty honeycomb structure Croissant is also super flaky. Nice ice latte. Other cakes on display look so good too. Will try next time. They have salad and sandwich as well

One of the best bakery/pastry shop in town! A true hidden gem for a croissant lover. Loved their pain au chocolate with a cuppa. Perfect way to start the morning. Even better, it is located close to my office. Definitely my go-to whenever I crave for gluten!

One of the highlights of this cafe is undoubtedly their cheesecake and brownies. Each bite is a heavenly indulgence, perfectly balancing richness and sweetness.

But it's not just the pastries that keep me coming back to this cafe. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. After just one visit, they'll remember your name and greet you like an old friend every time you return.

In addition to their outstanding pastries and coffees also offers a selection of savory delights that are equally delicious. From flaky croissants to savory sandwiches, there's something for every palate.

I like getting a baguette for lunch here when I don’t bring my own lunch to work. However, I often find that the only vegan option is sold out, and I leave disappointed. It seems to me that they need to prepare more vegan baguettes.
The coffee is good, and the outdoor seating is nice. It’s very quiet in the mornings, making it one of my favorite places to work while enjoying a morning coffee on campus.
UPD: they can make vegan milkshakes 🥤😍

The bakery is located inside the Design School which makes it a bit tricky to find for first timers.

Croissants and pains au chocolat (chocolate croissants) are amongst the best I could find in Canberra.

Croissants are not too big and weigh around 78g. The many many layers masterly baked produce a fluffy, buttery and flaky texture inside. The outside is covered by a beautiful, thin, shinny, golden crunchy crust. They look beautiful and have a sweetness similar to what you can find in a good croissant in France.

Chocolate croissants are the best in Canberra in my estimation. If you are keen on having chocolate croissants it’s best to come early. By 9:20am they were sold out.

On that day almond croissants were underwhelming compared to the plain croissants. A little flat with little almond and too sweet.

Croissant: $4.90
Pains au chocolat: $6.90
Almond croissant: $8.50
Pain aux raisins: $6.90
Tart slice: $7.50

Friendly service. French speaking welcome here. Indoor seating available. Parking is always tricky inside ANU.

Definitely a recommended bakery for croissants and pains au chocolat.

PS: Would be nice if there were more production but that might impact quality. So make sure to be there early for the freshly baked viennoiseries.

PPS: 5 stars for the croissants and pains au chocolat. But 4 stars overall because of the location, the limited trading hours and no phone number to reserve in advance.

Hidden gem on campus! The simple interior doesn’t impress, but don’t let that fool you! Lunch-time sandwiches were fantastic! Fresh bread, creative fillings, and a great price. Definitely coming back for those. The croissants we had in the morning were decent, though a bit burnt - still not bad for a campus bakery.

The food here is absolutely amazing, no matter what you get. The staff are all so lovely and it’s a peaceful place to sit and enjoy lunch under the trees. By far the best cafe on campus.
