My wife and I completed the 42k, 3-day Wharf to Wharf walk with Sapphire Coast Guided Walks in October 2024, in the company of just two other walkers and our guide Cam. We greatly enjoyed the experience and company. There was a surprising variety of flora and fauna and wildlife too that accompanied the changing landscape. The accommodation at the eco-lodge (we slept in the safari-tent) was really good, warm and comfortable after the day treks. The meals too, prepared by Cam and his wife Tess, were excellent and a welcome and fitting end to the daily treks. Both my wife and I would highly recommend this walking trek with Sapphire Coast Guiding Co. They are a very organised, professional and well prepared team who clearly go out of their way to make the trek as comfortable and safe for all participants. We are now planning on doing the Light to Light walk in the near future with the same team.

If you want a hassle free experience for Light to Light walk on the southern coast of New South Wales, then this is the company to go with. Plus, there is the bonus of a comfortable tent and camp bed each night, good company, excellent food and a knowledgeable guide each day.

Completed the three day L2L hike with the camping option. This was a great experience, very highly recommend. Would even recommend for those that aren't super into camping, as this is a good Segway experience as it's more glamping than camping with the setup. Jason was a great guide, very informative and kept it light and cheery. Tess and Cam were fantastic hosts who were always up for a chat and a laugh while keeping us well fed and comfortable with some great home cooked meals and snacks over the three days.

Highly recommend the guided 3-day Light to Light walk which is fully catered for, so all you have to carry is a day pack. We shared the experience with 2 friends and chose to stay at the Green Cape Lighthouse cottages. Perfect location to watch the sunrise and sunset. (We enjoyed delicious local produce including wine, beer, cheeses & fresh local oysters). The bonus was we saw many whales, seals & bird life.
We had a private tour of the lighthouse with Greg, a resource of knowledge, on the history of the Cape.
The whole package was an enjoyable experience with the company of Cam and Jason - both extremely knowledgeable. Cam prepared the amazing dishes and Tess provided morning teas - all home cooked.
Jason was our guide and was very accommodating to the group's input allowing plenty of time to enjoy the walks with interesting points shared, photo time, viewing of more whales and time to enjoy the hidden focal points along the way. Watching out for wildlife along the way and we were so lucky to see 4 duck orchids. Fabulous find by Jason. Beds were comfortable, plenty of time to use shared bathrooms. The other 6 people on the tour were like minded and we all had a great fun time and enjoyable evenings at dinner. Communication and organisation was excellent.

My friend and I recently did the Wharf to Wharf walk with Sapphire Coast Guiding. Cam was a fantastic guide with in-depth local knowledge of the geology, environment and history of the area. He adapted to our interests and walking pace, and even boiled the billy for both morning tea AND lunch! 🙂 The accommodation was first class in a beautiful secluded natural environment. Tess produced delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommend walking with this company!

I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Cam and Jason were wonderful hosts and guides. The walk spectacular, the food wine and local beers fantastic. The accommodation very comfortable after a long day's walking but more importantly the location was awe inspiring. We ended the three days feeling energised and renewed.The connection to wild life, the ocean, the coastal flora, and the history of the area that Cam and Jason shared, helped build our connection and understanding in a way we could not have acheived on our own.

We absolutely loved our 3 day Light to Light walk- the scenery was spectacular and very varied and the whale watching off the coast was awesome! It’s the first time I’ve been on a guided walking tour and it was so much better than walking independently. Our guide Jason was very knowledgeable and entertaining giving us lots of interesting information along the way. Cam and Tess were fantastic hosts - the accommodation was such a special experience staying at the lighthouse and the food supplied was better than most good restaurants! If you are thinking about booking this tour, just do it! !

Fantastic Wharf to Wharf in spring.
A truly memorable 3 days of beautiful beaches, forests, lagoons, whale spotting, birds galore and an enormous diversity of wildflowers. An incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful guide, wonderfully delicious food (seriously good), interesting and well made local wines, and gorgeous accommodation, too. Loved every minute of it.
Looking forward to returning for the Light to Light walk and hoping that additional options will unfold in coming years.
Unquestionably, the best guided walk I've experienced.
