I could smell cigarette smoke all the way through the hotel as I walked to my room. Strange because all the rooms were supposed to be non smoking. Very strong smell throughout the corridors.

My room was a good size and the bed was huge and also had good pillows unlike most motels so that was a positive. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Return visit 1st in 2022 and again Dec 2024. Standard excellent as before. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast definitely recommend. Grateful staff opened breakfast room over Christmas. Clean, quiet, safe and close to Top Ryde, buses and 10min brisk walk to ferry. Will make this the only place to stay when visiting family in Ryde area .

The cleanliness of the room was not good. The bathroom was the worst, hair on the floor and toilet brush on show all tattered and looked 50 years old. The smell was terrible like musty and never cleaned before. There was an old musty smell in the hotel too. They could spring for some deodariser or air wick. The kitchen looked awful, avoid at all costs. If the rooms were dirty imagine the kitchen. Staff were nice though and helpful but rooms so outdated and not cleaned properly. Rubbish all around motel. It ruined our stay. Avoid if you can. Fire the cleaning staff!

Stayed for 5 nights from the 12th - 17th of December 2024..
My partner, our two kids and myself.
Really enjoyed a dip in the pool after our day trips. Nice clean pool, rooms and friendly staff.
We didn't have anything in the diner, but was told the meals were delicious.
Spoke to Tim the manager. His a real genuine guy and down to Earth.
I like the pictures on the walls through the hallways and our room.
It felt like a friendly place to stay.

The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We stay here a few times a year. Great location, close to public transport. We have breakfast and now dinner at the motel. Value for money. Only issue we had was that one of the meals was too salty for my husband.

Really enjoyed staying here. A little dated but the staff and service make up for it. Make sure you have the breakfast buffet and dinner in the restaurant (or room service) - the quality of the food is amazing.

This place was SO much better than the last place I stayed in the Ryde area. It's not as fancy looking as some, as it is older and dated. However, that's exactly what made it better. These days all the places are so small. This room had exactly that. Room. And it has been done up (at some stage).|I had a VERY comfy Queen size bed, I didn't feel the walls were closing in on me. I had a desk AND a sitting area. I had a reasonably sized bathroom, and even a balcony so I could get fresh air. The last place I stayed at was hermetically sealed so I relied on the A/C for something as simple as air flow, let alone temperature control.|It was quiet enough and dark enough (and I'm a very light sleeper), so I had quite a good night's sleep.|There were glasses (but no wine glasses), a kettle and tea and coffee. The toilet paper is that thin dodgy stuff you have to use lots of (but that's pretty standard). Soap, shampoo, shower gel are in dispensers on the walls. It has most of what you need really.|Breakfast was buffet style that I pre-paid for so it worked out to be only $13.50. VERY reasonable.|Check-in and check-out was easy, and the front desk staff were friendly.|I will be returning to the area over the next couple of years, and this is now my "go to."
