Should have listened when friends warned us not to build with Ryde. Nearly three years of absolute nightmares dealing with this company.

Our supervisor Terry Caramia struggles to string together more than a couple word reply in text, ignored my messages about defective work for 6 months, made decisions on my build without contacting me and advised me that he is managing 80 builds and doesn’t have time to make a 30second phone call to me.

Luke Harris changed the fall of my roof from the planed design without variation and decided it was a great idea to place a downpipe right in view of the front door.

Their painter managed to get paint all over our rammed earth feature walls and roof, our roof is rusting and one of our bathroom walls was not built to plan.

We were billed early for work that was not completed and when we paid it our trades were gone the next day, we had to request our money back until the work was actually completed.

The company and business owner Nigel Ryde ignored my lawyers request for information and now ignores or forwards my messages to his operations manager Iian Woods who
is about as useful as a brick wall to speak to. He just makes up excuses or tries to blame the customer and when faced with actual facts reverts to his default line, report us to Department of Mines, industrial relations and safety.

Our contract is not worth the paper it’s written on to them, their customer service and communication is woeful and the quality of the build is very poor.

I’ve contacted numerous recent customers of theirs who all seem to have similar experiences to me. We are currently considering options around a class action so if you have been effected and I haven’t already been in touch with you feel free to send me a message.

We built with Ryde, two years ago now and have absolutely fallen in love with our house! There were a few things we wanted to change mid way through the build and they changed it on the fly with out us having to worry about it! Great service and will definitely be building with them again!

There are plenty of other builders out there. Save yourself a lot of headache and money and don't build with these guys. Actual words from the site supervisor 'I don't care, it's not my business' - this is the culture and mindset of the company and its employees. The so called "local" owners that live in Perth, promise the world than refuse to talk to you when it doesn't happen. Just don't go there.
