Arrived late on a very busy night. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Good menu and wine selection. Had 2 lovely meals salmon & salt & pepper squid. We had to wait a while but that was expected, which meant we eventually had a quieter spot.

Really nice place for dinner. Ordered steak & salt & pepper calamari. Steak was a good size, slightly over cooked.
Chips were perfect & the salad had a very nice, distinct dressing that was very enjoyable.
The salt & pepper calamari was delicious & perfectly seasoned.
The drinks & wine list were extensive, with whole section devoted to premium wines by the bottle only.
Servings were generous, & service was fast, friendly & efficient.
Would eat here again.

I'm from Adelaide and dropped in for lunch to meet the mother in law and I must say the food was amazing. Restaurant quality. I had the pork crusted cutlet and it was cooked to perfection, it was to die for. I also had drunken mussels and the cream sauce was too good, full of flavour. Highly recommend this place. Staff were amazing, welcoming and smiling. Keep up the good work. Great country pub.

A great spot for us to take our dogs and enjoy a good meal, museum wines and have the heaters keep us warm in the beer garden. Had a nice 1998 Zema Shiraz, some fish and chips and an awesome waygu beef steak sandwich. The food was only $30 but the wine was around $100. We definitely recommend this dog friendly pub?

Very nice place to have a dinner with your family and friends. Special steak night, or curry night, whenever you want, it always there. Good choice for a birthday party as well. Wonderful service and talented chefs!

Dinner for one. Superb medium rare lamb backstrap with baked eggplant, olives, Swiss chard, mint & date yogurt. Cooked to perfection and a very generous serve. When in Coonawarra then Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is a must.! A 375ml bottle of Wynns Coonawarra Estate ‘The Siding’ Cabernet Sauvignon was a great accompaniment. Finished off with a spiced chocolate and coffee mouse with marmalade. Another generous serve.

Lovely old hotel - lots of outdoor seating. The prawn dumplings were amazing from the straight up menu. The tandoori chicken whilst enjoyable was fried and crunchy with only minimal tandoori flavouring. serving portions were great, enjoyed a sparkling Merlot from Di Georgio - bliss! Very nice - you won’t regret going here.
