Stopped for "buffet" lunch. Where you choose 3 different dishes. We were hoping it tasted better then it looked. No, all of it was absolutely terrible and most left on plates. It's cheap for a very good reason.

Stayed in this hotel in Ingham for $270 a week a double room value for money is second to none next door wanted $130 a night , this little place in the central of Ingham is a beautiful little lovely cosy hotel , large room so comfortable nice bed very comfy double bed ?
Air conditioning works wonders ceiling fan is fantastic it’s so clean absolutely spotless, the kitchen is shared and shared showers but they are so powerful and hot , so clean Yeahits an absolutely wonderful little place and the value for money will not be beaten anywhere in Australia, it has a bar downstairs but after trying 5 other places in town they were all over $100 a night this place is $38 a night for a double room , yes it’s basic but the rooms are spotless cosy and extremely comfortable,
With a flatscreen tv a fridge and a sink and plenty of room and a gorgeous balcony to sit out on a fully furnished kitchen with utensils and a power shower and a hanging closet and wardrobes with mirrors I’d rate a peaceful stay here at 10/10 for the money we paid this place is an absolute bargain and I’d recommend this to anyone staying in ingham hands down , the staff are friendly especially Allan who showed us round and helped with luggage I personally don’t normally write reviews but I just felt like the guys that own this place are the backbone of any small hospitable Australian business I’m from England and have travelled the length and breath of Australia and I’ve not even come close to the value of this establishment, well done ? to everyone associated with the Royal Hotel ingham.

We went there for lunch which is set out as buffet style bain marie. However the ordering was confusing as you first paid for 2 mains and 2 sides plus hot chips for $16.90 which is very reasonably priced.. Then we sat at a table and the table server came and took our order for what we wanted to eat from the buffet instead of just dishing it out after we ordered. When the plates of food came out the food was almost falling off the plate because there wasn't enough room on the plates to accommodate the amount of food and while the food tasted good, the presentation looked like a dog's breakfast! It would've been better to fill our plates while we were at the buffet.

The food looked delicious but unfortunately both myself and my friends ended up with food poisoning and were refused a refund. Alan also flirted with one of my friends and made her feel uncomfortable.

I recently hosted a party for my parents at the Royal hotel. Sharyn and Allen were so accomodating to me, letting me make instalments to pay my account off, the room on the day was all set up with tablecloths, we just had to walk in decorate and go. They make the process very easy for you, and anything I asked for they were happy to help. The kitchen ladies were amazing, such hard workers and the food is always yummy so you never have to worry about the food standards. Everyone raved about the food, loved the party and really enjoyed themselves. No cleaning, they do it all for you with no cost for the room. Nikki and staff in the bar and catering did a wonderful job. I honestly did nothing all night except talk and dance. Highly recommend the Royal Hotel for a stress free event. Can’t thank them enough 10/10

As an Inbound Tour Operator we're bringing clients to Australia from Overseas - and I have clients who specifically wish to stay at this property.
I tried to send emails - which bounced back - then give them a call, which is answered and I'm on the phone with Sharon.
Explaining my request and if she can help us out with info and rates - thanks but we're not interested bye! And hung up!

Wow - thanks for nothing! We will take our business elsewhere.
