This was the perfect place for our family. We stayed here recently and had 2 family rooms. The rooms had everything we needed, clean and very spacious. We were here for a football carnival and we were close to everything from sports fields to shopping centres and restaurants. The owner was very nice, friendly and helpful. Definitely will be recommending this place to everyone.

Can't recommend this motel highly enough.
The room was very generous in size and came with a kitchenette. The shower pressure was great. The room was spotless. Located across the road from a pub that had good meals at good prices. The most outstanding service from owners of the motel who greeted us in a very friendly way. Good price for everything that was there. Again, highly recommended

External looks can been deceiving but we were really happy with our 1 bedroom family room. Recently renovated units. Very large and spacious. Huge shower and bathroom. It was great to have personal space when traveling with teenagers. Wonderfully friendly manger Frank who was very helpful. Definitely value for money.

Stayed here three years ago. Every motel in Mackay was full of miners and we were desperate by 7.30pm. Saw a vacancy sign at Rover but were told they hadn't switched the sign off. The only room left they weren't letting out as the light in the bathroom had blown. We pleaded that we could manage and so got ourselves a bed with a $10 reduction. Room was large and comfortable, good TV and fridge with well equipped kitchen area. A bit rundown but adequate and the receptionist was very helpful.||When stopping in Mackay in August this year we decided to return to the Rover even though with the declining mining boom there were plenty of vacancies everywhere. We found it under new management with refurbishment under way. We chose to stay in a room next to our previous room as the shower was easier to access with a dodgy knee. The bathroom has been renovated and was spotless. There was every cooking facility, large fridge and the bed was great. The fully renovated rooms are a bit dearer but we were very pleased with this one still at the old rate. New receptionist was just as obliging and we met the owner who was hard at work. Should the opportunity arise we will stay there again.

I spent one night at this apartment, not only the beds were comfortable, the unit was cosy and comfortable for my kids to lounge around. Loved the big size bathroom, lotsa space for movement especially when having kids around. I found it quiet and that was the catch for me because I booked the room for privacy and a place where I could catch up on sleep time after spending long hours with extended families so rovers was on spot. I would recommend this place to families visiting for a night or so.

I recently stayed at this lovely motel whilst my son was in Mackay at an U15 state championships AFL carnival. Mike who is the the onsite manager, was very polite and helpful to everything. The room itself was fantastic, very spacious and had everything that my son and I needed.

It was also very quiet and had all the facilities and amenities that you need when staying somewhere. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough to anyone thinking of staying in Mackay and if I am ever in Mackay again, this is where I will be staying.

The facilities were quite good, clean and modern. The pool was a good temperature and great after a long day in the car. The room prices were very competitive too. Parking is available for trailers off the street which was very handing. We would probably stay here again.
