Absolutely worth the drive from Sydney! The fish was super fresh, cooked perfectly, and the beef dripping chips—wow, next level. So crispy and full of flavour. The pea salad was a surprise standout, really lifted the whole meal. And the homemade tartare sauce was to die for—creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of zing. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend!

Some of the best fish and chips in the Illawarra! It’s very rare these days to find a place still cooking in beef dripping, and Rosie’s nails it. The flavour is next level, crispy and delicious, more places really need to bring this back. Absolutely worth a visit!

Rosie’s Fish and Chips in Coledale delivered a delicious dose of nostalgia. The fish and chips were cooked in beef dripping—just like the ones I grew up with in northern England—crisp, golden, and full of flavour. The addition of Sarson’s vinegar was the cherry on top, a perfect and authentic British touch that made the experience feel truly traditional.

The only downside was the size of the fish, which felt a little small for the price. Still, the quality and taste made up for it, and I’d happily go back for another fix of proper old-school fish and chips.

The battered fish cooked in beef dripping was perfection, they really have the batter perfectly crunchy. The cheese kranskywaa deep fried and super moist. Tartare sauce was good but would skip the coleslaw next time. Really did enjoy the fish and chips and would be back in summer.

Awesome fish & chips shop with quite a substantial variety on the menu actually. The chips in beef drippings are super crispy, huge and generous portion. Crumb of the fried fish is extra crispy but light as well, doesn't feel too oily. We had the special octopus croquette which is something different and delicious 😋

Not many seats so most people takeaway. Huge lunch crowd so will be good to order online and pickup.

Absolutely delicious fish and chips! The batter is light and crispy, and the chips are perfect. Super friendly service and a relaxed coastal vibe. Best part? Sharky’s Beach — a great off-leash dog beach — is just a short walk away. Perfect lunch stop with the pup!

We drove almost an hour to come to Coledale and Rosie's made it absolutely worth it. To the point we're planning our next visit to eat here again.

The fish is fresh daily. Today it was Barramundi. The line was long on a Sunday no less. The wait is absolutely worth it.

Got the Fish and Chips with the house Tartare sauce and cooked in Beef Drippings. Added the side of Curry sauce and Crushed peas with mint. Also couldn't resist trying out Rosie's Fish Burger.

Seating is very limited so take the chance to get one while you can as you wait for your gift to be cooked fresh and be ready.

Service was fantastic. We received our food piping hot. The Barramundi was crispy, crunchy, flaky and juicy. Best we've had no competition whatsoever. The Curry sauce and crushed peas with mint were absolute bangers. The curry tasted just like Japanese Mild curry and the Peas wow... I typically hate peas, but these were out of this world good.

Finally the Fish Burger. It had the same qualities as the Fish n Chips but needed between 2 soft buns with the perfect amount of sauce and crunch lettuce. Best I've had easily.

Would honestly be hard pressed to find a better Fish n Chips shop in the state.

Cannot wait to come back and with friends. Don't sleep on this place. They're absolutely worth giving a go and your money is well spent here.
