WELCOME TO KAREN'S CARAVAN PARK!!!!! First off let me make it clear we were not staying here - we were just down the road but all parks face the water with a public reserve running across the front of all of them making it a big open space - really lovely, relaxing and pleasant, great walk.
On Tuesday the 21st of Jan, the place was deserted, apart from one other family sitting on the grass eating ice cream, my family of 5 were the only people around. My kids - like most do in a "fishing" town, wanted to fish. They had their little fishing rods we bought for our holiday adventure and some prawns. We found a very very little boating jetty that was empty, it stuck out about 10m over the water and allowed the kids to avoid some of the seaweed - plus allowed the kids to dangle their feet over the water while "fishing", it was nice. We were hurting and annoying absolutely no one.
Next thing Karen comes stomping across the reserve and stands there yelling "where are you staying" - i answered just down there. We are then told to get off the jetty as its for "their" customers only. Now there was absolutely no one wanting to use this pier, we weren't hurting anyone, in fact we were not putting anyone out in any way whatsoever - but yep we had to get off the pier and we literately fished right along side it.
So for people who are in the "Hospitality" industry, Karen is not real hospitable - in fact she told us the only reason we had to move was the owner doesn't like it. Now we had full intention to get some ice creams after our fishing adventure from Karen's shop, we also want to come back in Easter and try a different caravan park - but Karen it wont be yours and we bought ice cream and chips up the road.
So if you want to stay in a caravan park that enjoys tourists and kids having fun - this is not the one. You need a new job Karen, if you don't like tourist/holiday makers around your business and clearly enjoy stuffing their fun for no reason, its time to be a cranky old lady somewhere else.
I suggest you all try the other caravan parks first - hopefully they will be more family friendly. BTW Karen, my kids got a little Bream, made their day.

Place had interesting marine life, loved that they have jellyfishes. Wish they wifi connection could be better, only spot to get good connection was to stay outside the office. Ammenities were very very clean and peaceful, so that was a bonus! Wish my room was abit cleaner because we found rubbish and when wiping the couh to use as a bed it was stain brown kaka. I noticed a piece of foil shoved between the microwave when i entered the cabin straight away, bit disappointed with cleaning services cant be trusted

I've been there with my friends for Christmas. Good price and good quality! Our caravan was clean, maybe a little bit too small for 5 people but still. ||Very nice area with the lake in front of us. Bad thing: we had the shared bathrooms. They weren't really clean. So here's my tip: choose a room with the bathroom inside. ||Beside this, you will enjoy the place.

I've just returned from a week's stay at this venue and couldn't be happier. I found the park very neat and tidy, the staff extremely friendly and the atmosphere relaxing. I will be returning. ||I did arrive a little earlier than my 1pm check in time, but was greeted warmly, and even received an upgraded van closer to the water. ||The shared amenities were always clean and tidy.

We had a wonderful stay here Nice, clean and tidy cabin. Lovely view of the water. Friendly staff. Close to shops but the Caravan park has its own shop if you need anything. There's a little jetty you can use to go fishing or as we did, sit and watch the sunrise. Great footpath along the water to go for a walk also đŸ‘Ŗ

Our first stay here and it was fabulous, from the lovely staff to our cabin with a most beautiful view. There is a pier reserved for guests only to fish from which was nice. A leisurely stroll to the RSl which has very large meals at a great price. It was a shame that we only had an overnight stay but now that we have been there we will certainly be back.||I highly recommend it.

Cabin 34 and 35 are the best cabins as they have ensuites, full kitchens and full or partial water views. The other cabins are shared bathrooms. Linen and towels have a one off cost of $15 or provide your own also returnable deposit of $20 for remote controls. It has its own jetty on the river and pylons to tie up your boats to. Canoes are for hire on an hourly basis. They have their own shop where you can get a variety of items but especially icecream :). Caravan park backs onto the calm river with a public walkway and flat grassy area in between, perfect for the kids to run around on. Sussex Inlet itself is a cute little town with everything you need including a cute cinema all within a 5 min walk. Facilities are well maintained, don't let the daggy privately owned caravans on site put you off. Would be happy to return.
