The lovely people running the place were simply awesome. Very polite and accommodating, all round lovely people. The place is nice, with a pool, rooms were everything you needed and very clean and tidy. Would happily go back there again next time I'm in town.

This was the best place to stay as it was central to walking around everywhere. Staff were the best and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was great - clean, fresh, and roomy.

Very nice upstairs self-contained apartment with 2 balconies and views. Managers were very helpful. Lovely pool. Great meals at the in-house restaurant. Great central location for walks and the shops on Charlotte St. Strongly recommended as this motel is excellent value for money.

Where do I start, my wife and I took a room each for two nights because I snore! At the very reasonable rates charged I could afford that. The rooms are well appointed and clean, plenty of tea and coffee. The meals in the motel restaurant were beautiful, friendly service from the staff. Breakfast was available each morning and it was beautiful. In a quiet location about a five minute walk from the heart of lovely Cooktown, it suited our needs perfectly. BUT, the highlight of our stay was meeting the owner Mick. He is such a dry character my wife and I still laugh about his sharp wit! If I ever return to Cooktown I’ll be staying here.

Lee was lovely and super helpful. We hired the 2 bedroom apartment for the night, kitchen was great , bathrooms clean and linen crisp. Great value for money, one of the nicest and most modern motels I have stayed at. We unfortunately were unable to have dinner at their restaurant which serves stonegrilled meats inclusive of sides and sauces.

There is NO restaurant or bar. It’s been closed for ages. The rooms are reasonable with wifi really poor we ended up jumping from our phones. The driveways are really exceptionally steep and not suitable for cars. There is apparently an overpriced breakfast package available. We stayed 1 night instead of the 3 we were booked in for. There are better places in town.
