I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Right Choice Real Estate, after vacating a rental property. Let me start by saying, the condition of the property when we moved out was immaculate. We took great care in cleaning it ourselves, followed by hiring a professional cleaning company, including a carpet cleaner, to ensure everything was in top condition. Despite this, the agency sent us an email with an absurdly long list of complaints, including something as trivial as "dust on the light switch in the garage" – something my highly reputable cleaner, who has been in the business for 8 years, found completely shocking, specifically saying "I have done this for 8 years and have never seen anything like this from a real estate"

To try and resolve the situation, we paid the cleaner to return, and the carpet cleaner went back for free (as per their guarantee). Yet, the agency still insisted the property was not sufficiently cleaned. I have detailed photos showing that the property was left in perfect condition, but despite this evidence, they refused to acknowledge it.

What followed was a complete nightmare in communication. The agency hired their own tradespeople without asking for our permission first, and now they are trying to charge us over $700 for their cleaning work. They’ve been incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional in every exchange. Whenever we tried to respond, they had already gone ahead with repairs and cleaning before giving us the chance to confirm or discuss.

On top of that, they’re trying to charge us $171 for a rekeying service, even though we found the missing key the same day they quoted us for this work. They didn’t even bother to wait for our response before sending their tradespeople to complete the job. By the time they got around to reading my email a few hours later, they had already gone ahead with it.

In short, the experience with Right Choice Real Estate has been a complete headache, and it feels like they are trying to take advantage of us. We have all the evidence to show that we met our obligations and left the property in great condition, so I am now taking them to NCAT to make sure we’re not unfairly charged. I strongly advise anyone renting from them to be cautious, as they seem to have little regard for fairness or proper procedure. Absolutely disappointing.

Worst experience ever in moving out.

When we move in on the first day we are not pleased how dirty the house is, molds, cobwebs everywhere, dirty window frames, filthy aircon filters, both bathroom and toilet vent are very dirty, dog hairs, We even had photos and videos(I will posts some of the photos). We even record and write them to the reports to them but no one address this problem. Nobody came to the house and clean but in the end we cleaned them all. (Always record take photos and videos when moving in, this will help you a lot when you move out.)

And when we moved out after 3years Wendy then told us theres a chip on the wall and said it needs to fix and painted, good thing I got the photo of it and show it to her. That the chip was already there since the first day we moved in. And said to her I got an album of how dirty the house was when we moved in. And said to her she needs to be fair for us RENTERS. And she told us that the owner might request compensation for damage in the kitchen bench. which there is no damage, it’s just scratches which is inevitable for an average kitchen bench. And she said it needs a professional to have a look for the bench and we paid $110 to fix or visit.

And when Wendy send the final report sent to us. I came back to the house and spend time to clean all of it. And when I done all I send her all the photos that needs to be clean. All is done.
And then she then said the toilet floor was overlooked being clean. So she said we need to pay for post vacate cleaning. So we ended up to pay a total $200 for post vacate cleaning. I was angry for what she is doing with us but I still pay to get rid how bad she is to be dealing with.

It was the worst experience with Wendy. Very terrible person to deal with. My wife is pregnant I don’t want her to involve with this I don’t want her to get stress. They hold our bond for almost a month just because of the kitchen bench.
